I breath heavily as the cold rush of winter air hits my face. A few snowflakes lightly sprinkle across my nose and stay put on the tip. The car that just crashed into my mom's car must have skidded further than I could've seen.
I squinted and wiped the snow off of my face and fixed my glasses so they rested on my nose once more. I carefully stood up, making sure I hadn't hurt any limbs. I place my left leg in front so it was the foot that supported me. I stood up straight and placed both feet on the ground and looked around. It was night time and the only thing I could see was a dark forest. I began to feel a small tickle on my right leg. I looked down to see blood trickling down my shin from a large cut. It wasn't too large so I could easily get it stitched if I had to.
There were no signs of life other than the odd sounds of birds and even a couple of howls from distant coyotes. Another cold rush of wind blew through the air and when it hit my face it stung. Chills reeked up my spine and all over my stomach as the only thought that came to my mind was where is Julia. My sister and mom were lost, and there seemed to be nothing but me, and the darkness.
