"Where are we going?" I ask curiously. We have been driving for a while now.  I don't think he had any time to formally plan a date. Which, I didn't mind at all.

"The beach." He simply answers. I think about it for a second. Neither one of us is wearing a swim suit and it's kind of chilly outside.

"There's a restaurant on the beach." He says. I nod in understanding.

After about 10 more minutes, we arrived at the beach. The waves were slow and the sun was setting, casting a pinkish glow on the water. It was absolutely beautiful.

"You like seafood right?" Mason suddenly asks. I nod and he sighs in relief. "I probably should have asked you before. They only serve seafood at this restaurant."

Walking in I felt like we were in a surfing movie. There were surf boards all over the restaurant. I've lived here in Florida most of my life and I've never been in here before.
"Hi! How many?" The host asks at the front door.

"Two," Mason says and then turns to me. "Would you like a table inside or out?"

I thought of the sunset and instantly got my answer. "Outside!" I smile. Mason nods and tells the host. They grab two menus and tell us to follow.  We made our way out to the back of the restaurant and out the back door.  No one else sat outside except us.

The host took out drink orders and then disappeared inside.

"It so pretty out!" I exclaim. I swear I fell in love with the view.

"Yea, it's almost as pretty as you." Mason says with a big smile.

I let out a laugh. "Please don't be cheesy. It doesn't suit you at all." Even though I thought he words were funny it still made my cheeks heat up.

"Alright, that messes up all my compliments I had planned." Mason frowns jokingly.

"You plan your compliments?"

"Not usually." He says. I give him a weird look causing him to laugh.

"You are so weird today." I shake my head laughing. Mason smiles and just shrugs. I've never seen him this giddy before. I kind of like this side of Mason.

Soon a waiter came and took our order. Mason ordered some shrimp combo thing. I ordered the same because I've never been here before so I didn't know what to get.

"Are You ready to go back to school?" Mason suddenly asks.

"Not really. It's going to be hard leaving my family again." I say honestly. I haven't even left yet and I already feel a bit homesick.

"How many siblings do you have?"

"Three. You met Thomas. He has a twin, my brother Zack. And then I have another brother, Shawn. He's three years older than you I believe."

"You're the only girl huh?"

"Yep, what about you? Is Rosie your only sibling?"

"Nah, I have an older brother. He lives in Australia. We don't really get along so he never comes home. I also have all my foster siblings and I could count Erica as a sister, close enough right." He goes on to tell me about all the foster kids.

"I think it's a really nice thing that your aunt does. Taking in foster kids. I would love to do that someday." I smile at the thought.

"Yea, she's done that for as long as I can remember. She's a nice lady. She just tried to hide it."

We continue to talk about our lives and finish our food. About an hour later we were all done.  Mason had got the check and had paid for it all. I tied to pay half but he only argued with me and wouldn't take any of my money.

"Let's go down to the beach." Mason says as he pulls me down steps that lead to the beach from the restaurant. At the end of the steps I took off my shoes and ran across the sand. I almost made it to the water until Mason ran up behind me and grabbed me by the waist and swinging me around.

"Mason put me down!" I exclaim while giggling. I was starting to feel dizzy from all the spinning around.

"Fine." He slowly sets me down. Right after he pulls me into his arms by my waist. I wrapped my arms around him as well.
It went really quiet after that. We just stood there staring out into the sea. Watching the waves crash against the sand. I couldn't help but feel like we were in the opening scene of grease. I made myself laugh thinking about it.

"Can I?" Mason suddenly speaks causing me to look up at him.

"Can you what?" I ask confused.

"This." He leans forward and places his lips on mine. My heart instantly starts to beat faster and my cheeks heat up. I swear every kiss is like a first. Since I've realized I liked Mason everything is so different.

After a couple of minutes Mason pulls away and places his head onto of mine.
"You're mine now." He says.

"Is that your way of asking me to be your girlfriend?"

"Yes?" He says as a question.

I think for a minute. The drama between me and lacy popped into my mind. I was scared that she would do something. Or what if it made Cj upset? I mean he can be upset with me but I wouldn't want him to be mad at Mason. I don't want to ruin any friendships.

Actually you know what, I should just stop worrying about other people.

"Yes." I finally answer.

"Really?!" Mason says dumbfounded. I nod quickly. I couldn't help but smile. Mason grins and hugs me even tighter.

"You know I never thought you'd actually like me since I was such a asshole to you." Mason looks down at me.

"I never thought I would either." I admit. Mason let's go and places a hand on his heart.

"Ouch, you were supposed to say you always liked me." Mason pouts.

"Stop pouting bad boy." I smirk. Mason raises an eyebrow.

"Bad boy?"

"That's what you are aren't you?" I say referring to the beginning of the year when I was told he was a bad boy.

"Not anymore. You've changed me for the better Alex." Mason says dramatically.

"I'm glad I could turn you around." I joke.

Mason smiles," alright it's getting late. I better get you home." I nod. He intertwines our fingers and we head up to the car.

I was a little sad when we arrived home. I didn't want this night to end. I haven't been this happy in a long time.

"Would you like to comes inside for a minute?" I ask. I wanted to give him a paper that he had left here that night Erica brought him over. "Sure." He answers and follows me inside.

"You can wait here-"

"Alex, who's this?" I turn around to see my dad standing there with his arms crossed. I gulp. I thought everyone would be asleep by now.

"Hi dad. What are you doing up so late?" I try to change the subject. My dad gives me an unimpressed look.

"Couldn't sleep because my daughter was out late." He answers. Uh oh, I could tell that he was upset with me. I don't like when my dads upset, he turns scary.

"Sorry about that. You shouldn't have waited up." I say, once again trying to keep him from asking again.

"It's fine. Now can you tell me who this guy is?" He points to Mason, who was clutching my hand hard. Was he nervous? It was kind of cute seeing him like this.

"Dad, this is," I paused to look at Mason. He gives me a small smile and then I continue. " This is Mason, my boyfriend."
