So I've finally figured out how Sponsorships are going to work in the story-line. Each Enemy will have a "rivalry" with your characters, the ones that impress during the Sponsorship task and the Sponsorship battle task. In the story-line, this rivalry will cause either certain benefits or penalties, depending on the task itself.
The writer's benefits of being Sponsored are:
1) Unlimited word count on a task of your choice
2) Ability to "save" yourself, if you've been killed in a battle task. But this only works once so be careful when you do it. If you don't use it before the second to last battle task (as in before the semi-finals), then you may use it for someone else (before the semi-finals).
3) You may claim immunity for one battle task of your choice except not the first, and not the last.
4) You may request more detailed feedback AFTER scores come out for a particular task.
5) As an added perk, if you include any of the Enemies in your entries and portray them correctly, then they will mention you in their snippets. Especially if its the Enemy who sponsored you.
6) You may ask for a hint from the next task when a certain task comes up. You can only do this once. For example, if it's task two, when task two comes out, if I'm sponsored I can request to get a hint for task three. You must use this before the semi-finals.
To get sponsored, read the chapters on the Enemies. I didn't include parts of who they would sponsor, or what they're looking for. You guys are mature writers, so you can read their information, and figure out the types of people they would see as rivals based off of their information. If you want hints, ask, but I'll only give them to you if it's obvious that you read their information. If none of the characters are people they would sponsor, then any or all of the Enemies can choose to sponsor no one. You'll also use the character "quotes" which will be included at the end of your character information chapters to help you with what they think of you. It might also help to include whichever Enemy you're going for in your sponsorship entry.
Nobunaga will sponsor one person
Mitsuhide will sponsor two people
Hideyoshi will sponsor one person
Magoichi will sponsor one person
Ishida will sponsor two people
This makes a total of SEVEN tributes who can be sponsored. Not all seven might end up sponsored, but no more than seven will be sponsored. Only seven out of fifteen. Impress them.
