Name: Mitsuhide Akechi ( mit-soo-hee-day a-catch-ee).
As a side note, I've actually looked this up multiple times and I'm still not entirely sure which is his family name. I've seen it so many times listed as either Mitsuhide Akechi or Akechi Mitsuhide, so I actually don't know which is his first and last name. I found one that said Akechi was his family name and listed it first, so I'm pretty sure Akechi is his last name. o.o
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Akechi has straight, long black hair that reaches past his waist. Most of the time, he wears it down. His almond-shaped eyes are more of a chocolate brown color than black, and they're constantly alert, watching for danger or enemies. He is slender and tall, reaching 6'3 he towers over almost everyone around him.
Weapon of choice: Katana and wakizashi.
Personality: Mitsuhide is a warrior in every sense of the word. He follows bushido wholeheartedly, and tries to include all aspects of it in battle, as well as in his personal life. Loyalty, honesty, fearlessness and prowess in battle are all apart of who he is. He will do whatever his diaymo, Shogun, or Emperor commands, including kill. He wishes for a Japan united by peace, but he knows that is a long-awaited dream that he will probably not live to pass.
Background: Mitsuhide was a part of the Akechi clan, but they were smaller and a part of the Oda clan. His parents "sold him" (although they would deny it openly) to a dojo, where he trained until he was ten, where his unmatched skills in battle enabled him to fight underneath the Shogun. After serving him directly for several years, something happened which caused Mitsuhide to leave. Though he remains loyal to the Shogun, no one knows what exactly caused him to leave. He became a ronin from the age of twelve until he was fifteen, where he heard of Nobunaga's rule in the Owari province. Mitsuhide challenged Nobunaga's best samurai, Katsuie Shibata, to a duel and won. Nobunaga noticed Mitsuhide's superior skills with a sword, and decided to train him. Mitsuhide stayed loyal to both the Shogun and Nobunaga as Nobunaga trained him for four years. Mitsuhide has spent the past two years trying to track down Hanzo, who betrayed Nobunaga and attacked him in the middle of the night.
Important side characters with them: Nobunaga Oda has trained him for four years now. Tsumaki Hiroko is the woman he's betrothed to.
What influences their decisions in battle: Mitsuhide is cunning, and yet he will always follow orders from Nobunaga, the Shogun and the Emperor.
Belief: He believes in the Shogun's rule, rather than the Emperor. After being trained by Nobunaga, however, he believes that Nobunaga can unite the clans and finally make Japan great again. He believes in the sword, and that in order to have peace, you must first have war. He believes in his skills as a samurai, and what those skills can do.
