Here is a list of all 15 clans. COMMENT or PM the names of your own clan and the clan you want to fight against. Here is an example:

Clan 16: Nobunaga Oda. I want to attack Clan 15: Magoichi Saika. 

Remember, that even though there is no typical voting like other author's games, the rankings are more than just for show. They tell you what each writer scores, which says a lot about their writing, so you should take that into consideration when choosing who to face up against. Keep in mind that the battle task is a direct competition between you and the writer you choose, so choose wisely. 

Clan 1: Miyoshi and Clan 5: Ashikaga both of you failed to hand in entries for the sponsorship task. This means that you have a severe penalty in the sponsorship battle task, which will be announced then. If you both don't hand in the sponsorship battle task, you will be automatically eliminated even though no one else will be eliminated this round. 

Let me repeat that: no one will be eliminated this round (unless you don't hand in, of course. Then you'll automatically be eliminated). This is practice so that we all get a feel for how this works. 

Also, don't forget that those who are higher on the rankings will receive rewards that will help them. Those that rank lower will receive penalties that will hurt them, but those penalties will NOT be as severe as the ones given to those who didn't hand in on a regular task. 

When choosing who to attack, you and your opponent will both agree to decide on who will attack and who will defend. This doesn't really matter in terms of will one hurt or help you, so it can be either way. 

Remember your income, troops, supplies, castle defense level and ronin and remember theirs. That all factors in to who wins. There will always be an equal number of winners and an equal number of losers. But even if you lose, I can announce that your life is saved, so don't panic if you're the loser. See the chapter called About Author's Games: Samurai for more details about how many people will be eliminated each round. 

Important note: 

Yes I know two clan names are missing. Clan 2: Kyou Asai and Clan 9: Naoki Hojo. This is because they both went on vacation so they pre-selected each other for the battle task. Neither of them can be chosen, which is why they're not listed!

Finally,  if you choose someone, please consult them first. Don't just randomly blurt out a clan name without thinking it through and contacting the writer at some point. If you're selected by someone and you don't want to, then that's fine! Just let me know, and then you both will have to choose someone else. 

Due date:

Because this is the first time any of us is doing this, you have until May 23rd, 1pm to figure this all out. If there are any writers by then who haven't chosen, then I will choose for you by randomly placing you with the other undecided writers.
