Battle Task 2

Here is a list of who is attacking who:

Clan 8: Hirotei Imagawa is attacking Clan 4: Jyubei Takeda

Clan 14: Yuudai Kato is attacking Clan 7: Shiro Askura 

Clan 15: Toshihiro Ukita is attacking Clan 9: Naoki Hojo

Here then, is your second battle task:

You are either attacking or defending a village that is nearby a dam. If the dam is released, the village will be destroyed. 

If you're attacking, you must make sure the dam destroys the army and in turn the village. You have the option to buy ONEof the units to help you:

- Samurai who wield kanabo (heavy club used to break the legs of horses)

- Archers with flaming arrows

If you're defending you must stop them from destroying the dam and protect the village. You have the option to buy ONEof the following units to help you.

- Horse spearmen

- Horse Archers

Either way, you must choose the unit against you and show how you overcome it. Focus on the task without straying. 

Each unit costs 400 gold. You may only buy one. 

Failing to include all the proper elements of this task, including location and opposing unit, will factor into who wins and loses. BUYING UNITS IS OPTIONAL, so you don't have to, but having no units against someone who does, also factors into who wins. Even if you choose not to buy one (or if you can't), your enemy must have one unit against you - NO MORE THAN ONE. You may NOT state who wins or imply otherwise.

Penalties:

Those of you who scored in 6 - 7 place of the overall rankings: rainstorms have been continuous for the past several days, causing the endangered village to flood severely and will destroy it if the battle takes any longer than an hour. If you're attacking, then the flood has caused problems within your ranks and units (people died, deserted, or you cannot march to the village easily). Remember to be realistic with how long the battle takes, otherwise you'll lose. 

Those of you who scored in 4th place of the overall rankings: the attacking army arrived sooner than expected and has already begun destroying the dam. It cracked, flowing a steady stream of water into the village. If you don't act quickly, the village will be destroyed. 

Hirotei, Toshihiro and Ren, because you three handed in last, you cannot buy any units this task. Remember what your current soldier count is, since you lost 1,000 soldiers. 

Awards:

Those of you who scored in 3 - 2 place: Lightning has struck the dam, cracking it for you. Water has begun to spill out of it at an alarming rate, so it won't be too difficult to finish destroying it. 

Those of you who scored in 1st place: the men in the village that you are defending are mosly samurai. They will help you defend the dam, to protect their home, giving you at least 100 extra samurai defending the dam.
