Sponsorship Task: Modoru Rekishi

Nobunaga glared at the boy on the ground, who was trembling violently.

"L—Lord Oda-san, please!"

"So... This clan believes that they can resist me, do they?" Nobunaga strolled around the boy, only increasing the young man's fear. Nobunaga stopped just behind the boy, eyeing Mitsuhide who was kneeling on the floor across the room.

"L—Lord Oda-san, I was just t—told to d-deliver the m-message!" the boy pleaded.

Nobunaga took a slow step forward. Fear radiated from the boy's body, which had begun to tremor. The clanking sound from unsheathing his katana made the boy wince and jump away. Laughing, Nobunaga sliced his katana through an apple which had been sitting on a table just above the boy's head. "Get out."

The boy stumbled out of the command tent in a rush.

"Oda-sensei, did you have to scare him?" Mitsuhide questioned.

"How dare they believe they can resist me." Nobunaga sheathed his katana and walked over to the open flap of the tent. His army was just inside his clan's borders.

"Are you planning to attack them?"

Nobunaga shook his head. "No. First we must know our enemy. Send spies into their country. I want to know just who their leader is—everything about them."

Hello samurai, and welcome to the sponsorship task! Impress me because this is the task (along with the sponsorship battle task) that determines which samurai the Enemies will rival. Use their comments on your character forms, along with information about the Enemies to determine who the Enemies are looking to sponsor. 

Here, then, is your task. 

Your clan is still small, and you have just enough of an army to protect your own lands, but nothing more. There are four main options to choose to write, with various choices within each one.

Option 1: You are the son of the clan leader, who has just died. Your cousin is a rival heir who also wants to take over your clan. To settle this dispute, you both have decided to settle this with a sword fight. This can end several different ways.

- He can win and you surrender

- He can surrender to you and is now working for you

- You kill him

- He surrenders and you brutally execute him as a harsh example to everyone.

- He flees and becomes a ronin

Option 2: You are a new leader in your clan. An army of ronin has just come to attack you. Write about you defending yourself from this army's leaders as they try to kill you. There are several ways this can end.

- You could brutally murder all of them

- You could defeat the ronin leader in a duel and win their army

- They could win, but they decide to let you live and now you serve as one of their generals

Option 3: You are the son of the clan leader, and he wants to allow you to become High General of his army. However, your father is a highly spiritual man. So to do this, you have to convince an order of monks to go to war with you. These monks are actually ones that study in martial arts. This can end in several different scenarios:
