The Moon Watches You

The moon watches you

upon the dawn

when the sky is blue

and it is all your imagination has ever drawn.

Its face lights up and gives

within your soul it shines

but in that mind of yours it lives

with circles, crescents, and lines.

When you're in a sleep so vast

and in a land so far,

you wouldn't know the duration of when it'll end or last

with the doubt in the twinkle of a lonely star.

Wish upon a world so conquering and bright

be a statement of warmth yet not shadow

there is a vision of craving light

you finally found an idea that you could stick to and tow.
