My blood was gray-
my eyes were you.
My love was faded-
my heart was you.
My eyes were dark-
my soul was you.
I fell apart-
I lost you.
I swam across-
and there was no you.
I looked towards-
and I sensed you.
I prayed and prayed-
nothing and no one came but you.
I opened my eyes-
and what I never got to see was you.
