You could hear voices
Of ones
That were,
once upon a time,
the closest people to me.
I just suddenly caught them in the act-
They shed their skin
Changed masks
Switched tongues,
They even replaced their hearts.
I found the good in you.
I dug deep into the blunder;
Pure black.
Pure misery.
A nightmare.
All of what I saw was cheat.
All of what I saw was my poetry coming alive
Into actions
Into words.
But all I could say is that
You, my friend,
were looking for some time to kill
The same time I was looking
For my memories dressed in beautiful butterflies.
You were looking for some time to kill
I was looking for some time to save.
Time isn't everlasting
I'm not there yet,
But,
What I know is that these memories we made
These conversations
Are placed in jars I don't want to open.
I feel numb.
I think I'll remain numb.
