The moment I saw you again,
I grew colder.
The colder I grew,
the darker I became.
I was afraid of my own reflection
and I was jealous of what I once was.
The moment I saw you again,
I forgot how thick and luscious your eyebrows were,
I forgot how pretty you were
But I knew that something was way off.
Your blood was blue and your eyes were gray,
your love was light but your favorite place was the day.
I wouldn't have known you
if spirit never told me to take the road not wanted wear;
-for then, I wouldn't have known you
even if my sanity was right all along.
