"Hey wake up." Grayson said softly into my ear.

I slowly got up and Grayson's jacket slid off of me and fell to the floor of the car. I quickly picked it up and gave it to him.

"Sorry." I said handing it to him.

"It's fine." He gave a smile and took it from my hand. My mom opened the car door.

"You okay to walk on your own?" She asked.

"Probably." I replied.

I got off the car and placed two feet on the floor. I took a step and I was fine.

I took a other step. Still okay.

That's when I gained enough confidence and began to walk a little more normal but it didn't work out very well. I lost my balance and fell.

Grayson helped me back up and put his arm around me.

"I got you." He smiled. That smile always made me smile. It was contagious. I loved it.

He helped to the living room and let me down on the couch.

"Thanks." I said.

"You have to stop thanking me."

"Why? You're here helping me while you can be somewhere else having fun."

"I want to be here. I want to help you."

My mom came in and slammed the door shut.

"You guys hungry? Grayson?" She asked.

"No. I'm find, Mrs. Ryans. Thank you, though." Grayson replied.

"I'm okay mom." I told her and then she left to go upstairs.

"How are you feeling?" Grayson asked me. I looked at my fingers and then into his eyes.

"I'm okay." I responded.

He stared into my eyes. Before I knew it, his lips were on mine.

And it felt nice.

He broke the kiss and looked down.

"I'm sorry." He gave a small, embarrassed laugh.

"No. Don't be. It was... um. Good." I bit my lip and he looked back up at me with a grin on his face. My mom came back downstairs and handed me her cell phone.

"It's your Dad."

I nodded and took the phone.

"Hey dad."

"Oh my god! Are you okay?" He was freaking out.

"Yes Dad, I'm fine. Stop freaking out about it."

"I already ordered my plane ticket. I'm coming to visit you!"

"That's great! I can't wait to see you."

Then he hung up and gave the phone back to my mom.

"He's visiting." I told her. She rolled her eyes.

"Who?" Grayson asked.

"My dad. He wants to make sure I'm okay."

His phone rang and he looked at it.

"I need to go home. My dad wants me to do something for him." He got up from the couch, "Are you coming to school tomorrow?"

I looked over at my mom and she answered.

"If she's feeling okay I guess she can go."

I nodded.

"Okay. I'll pick you up tomorrow. 6:45?" He asked.
