I continued to watch Finding Dory while Gray was talking to his aunt in our room. I looked over at the girls and they were asleep. I didnt want to wake them so I closed the laptop quietly and exited the fort. I could hear Gray yelling but the room door was closed. I walked over and opened the door to see him leaning against the dresser with his hand behind his neck.
"Im responsible enough to watch over them!"
He paused while his aunt talked.
"No! Im not going to just give them up like this! They are the only family I have left!"
Another pause.
"Well you're not being a good one." He hung up and threw his phone onto the bed and rubbed his face.
I walked over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder.
"What did she say?" I lightly pushed him so that we would sit down.
"She wants to take Sage and Peyton to live with her in Texas."
"And you couldn't convince her to let them stay?"
"No. In fact. She's coming over to the apartment right now."
"You gave her our address?" I asked shocked.
"Yeah." He fell back and stared at the ceiling.
I climbed on top of him and smiled at him. He grabbed my hands and pulled me down so that my face was near his.
"I can try to talk to her." I whispered.
"That'd be great." He gave me a passionate kiss and then asked if the girls were still watching the movie.
"They fell asleep."
There was a knock on our apartment door and we both went to answer it.
"Aunt Susan." Gray said unhappy. She came marching in and asked loudly where the girls were.
"Shh. They're sleeping right there." Gray said.
"On the floor? Do you not have beds for them?" She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. Gray's jaw clenched.
"Um no. They were watching a movie on his laptop and they fell asleep. I'll show you their room. Im Bree." I cut in.
"Alright." I led her to the twins room. I let her step in first and she seemed impressed.
"We still have to unpack some of their dolls and toys but we should get it done by tomorrow." I advised her. She walked around and checked inside the closet.
"What's in here?" She said, picking up a shopping bag.
"Um. We went to go buy some new clothes and toys for the girls." I smiled. She set the bag back down.
"So. You are Grayson's girlfriend?" She asked walking toward me.
"Yes. I am."
"And do you trust him with being a father-like figure?"
"Of course. Ever since the incident, he has been extremely responsible and caring for the girls."
She nodded her head. "And how is school going for all of you?"
"Well. We have the girls out of school for the moment so they have time to adjust to everything. I've been out of school for a while because I've been 'sick' and I lost both of my parents also. Gray has been helping out with everything." I explained.
"Okay." She walked pass me and out of the room. I poked my head out of the door and saw that she was about to talk to Gray. I waited a minute and then walked out to the living room.
Susan gave Gray a hug and left.
I ran to him excited. "So they can stay?"
He nodded with a cheeky smile. I hugged him tight and kissed him.
We went back to our room together and layed on the bed.
"So you're gonna have the Internet guy come over tomorrow?" I asked him.
"Yeah. He should be here in the morning."
"Should I get the girls to go to their beds?" I asked him.
"Yeah." He was about to get up but i made him lay back down.
"Rest your leg." I smiled. He rolled his eyes and grabbed his phone.
I walked out to the fort and went inside to see the girls still sleeping. I lightly shook them awake.
"Hey. Let's go to your new beds." I whispered. They whined but still got up. They both rubbed their eyes as I guided them to their new room.
"Wanna say good night to Grayson?" I asked them. They nodded and I took them to our room. Gray smiled when he saw them.
"Good night." They said quietly.
"Good night girls." Gray said back. I laughed and brought them back to their room. I let them choose the bed they wanted and I tucked them in. I gave them both a kiss on the forehead and closed the door.
I got back into bed with Gray and he was still on his phone.
"Lets take a picture." He laughed as he opened up snapchat. He turned the flash on and took a picture. He typed "❤️" and added it to his story. I gave him one last kiss before turning to my side and falling asleep.
