3 weeks before graduation:

We were basically out of school already but we still had to go for graduation rehearsal. It was weird to be preparing so early but I guess it was okay.
It was the beginning lunch and my lower back was killing me.
"You okay?" Gray asked as he rubbed my back.
"Yeah. I should be."
"Here have some water." He handed me a water bottle and I took a small sip. Paige and Venus came over to us and they noticed my pain.
"What's wrong?" They asked Gray.
"Her back really hurts." He answered.
"Its probably because you were standing all day. You should ask the principal if you can just sit out for the rest of the afternoon rehearsal." Paige said.
"Yeah." Venus agreed.
I nodded my head and Gray helped me get out. The principal was in his office so we had to walk a long way. Paige and Venus came with us. As I walked, the pain increased. I squeezed Gray's hand.
"Its okay. Just breathe." He said to me.
I took a big breath in and exhaled loudly. We were in the main hallway and there were students running up to me and asking what was wrong. I sweating like crazy by the time we were in front of the office. There was a bench in front and Gray set me down to sit but I couldn't. It would hurt. Venus rushed in to get the principal.
I was breathing hard and the pain was spreading from my back to my stomach. I was basically putting all my weight on Gray by the time the principal came out.
"What's wrong Bree?" He asked concerned.
I couldn't even talk since the pain was so bad.
"She said her back was hurting earlier but I think something else is happening to her." Gray answered for me.
"Paige. Call 911." The principal said.
Paige got her phone out of her pocket and dialed the number.

The paramedics arrived in minutes. They laid me down on the gurney and asked how many months I was.
"Almost 5." I managed to get out. Gray was by my side holding my hand. His thumb lightly stoking it. I bit my lip as I felt a shot of pain run down my spine. A high pitched squeal escaped my mouth. The paramedic shouted some commands to his partners. Another one pushed Gray back as they started to wheel me out of the building.
"No! I need to go with her!" I heard Gray shout.
I moved my arm and gripped onto someone while staring at the blue sky.
"Let him come." I whispered. The gurney stopped for a second and I heard loud footsteps approach me. I looked down and Gray was at my side once again. I was pushed into the ambulance and given some medicine to calm me down.
"What's happening to her?" Gray asked the paramedic.
"She's going into labor."

I was rushed into the hospital. A nurse put a mask over my face and told me to breathe. I did. I was rolled into the operating room and Gray was still at my side. They cut apart my shirt and I felt something cold being applied to my lower stomach. The nurse gave me an anesthetic while another pushed Gray to the corner and told him to put on scrubs. Soon he was back.
The surgeon shouted some commands for the nurses before talking directly to me.
"Okay. You might feel a slight poke." He said as he made an incision.
Gray held my hand and continued to look at me. After a minute or two, I heard light cries.
"May 10th, 12:47." The surgeon announced.
Gray looked up and then back to me with a large smile. He put his hand on my cheek.
"Levi?" He asked. I nodded my head and tears began to form. The crying disappeared as the nurses took him away. But then there was another cry. I looked at Gray but he was staring at the surgeon with his hand over his mouth.
"May 10th, 12:49." He announced once again.
I looked at Gray in shock. He was speechless too.
"Congratulations Miss Ryans. You have two beautiful baby boys. Twins."
