Everything is Changing

The Trick

        I walked into the Hades cabin to see Hazel. She ran over to me to give me a hug.
"What are you doing here?" Hazel asked.
"I'm sleeping in here tonight." I said pointing to the extra bed where my pillow and stuffed animal was.
        "So does that mean we can have a sleepover?" Hazel asked trying to contain her excitement.
        "Yes." I said. Her face beamed up.
        "Let's push the beds together and build a bed fort." She said pushing hers.
        I ran to my bed and pushed it towards hers. When they met she started getting the covers and making the roof. After the fort was complete we started to play Go Fish. After about an hour the door to the cabin opened.
        "Hazel?" It was Nico.
        "In the fort." She replied to him.
        "Do you know who the new kid in the cabin is?" He asked.
        "Yes. She's in here." Hazel replied with a giggle after.
        "Can you both come out here? So I can meet her."
        "Sure. We're coming out now." She said.
        We made our way out. Her first and me second. When I climbed out of the fort I saw Nico's face. He was surprised to see me but so happy too. He came over and gave me a hug. He pulled back a little to look at my face.
      "Oh my gods. What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I can sleep in the Apollo, Athena, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Zeus, Hephestus, and Hades cabin." I told him.
      "That's amazing!" He said. He picked me up in a hug and spun me around.
     "Are you tired?" I asked because he looked tired.
     "Yes." He said yawning.
     "Go to sleep." I said pushing him towards his bed. "Goodnight Nico."
     "Goodnight Maggie. Goodnight Hazel." He got in bed and fell asleep right away.
     "We should probably go to sleep too." Hazel said.
     "Okay. Goodnight." I said to her.
     "Goodnight Maggie." We went to sleep.
      I grabbed my puppy, a pillow, and two blankets then I went to the ground. I didn't want to wake anyone up if I had a nightmare. I drifted into sleep.
When I first saw the pictures they came slow. It was of Rhaeghan, Leo, Percy, Nico, and me. We were on the Argo 3. It then shifted to another picture. It was a young woman we were talking to. Then, the next pictures went by in a blur. One was of Rhaeghan and I. Both of us had golden glowing eyes. The next was a vision of Ouranos creating a huge storm over the place we were out. The third was of Rhaeghan, Nico, Leo, and Percy on the Argo 3. Percy and Leo were holding Nico back. Rhaeghan was looking over the edge, calling someone's name. Then it went black.
A voice rang out. "Had enough yet demigod?" It was Ouranos. "This will be every night. You will never last." His laugh became louder and louder.
I tried to tell him to stop but my voice wouldn't work. I was shaking too much. The dream ended.
I sat up. It was just a dream I thought. I was crying silently. I didn't want to wake anyone up so I hugged my knees and put my head on my knees.
"Maggie." Nico said in a whisper so he didn't wake Hazel up. "What's wrong?"
When I looked up he was four inches from my face. He reached his hand to my face and wiped my tears away.
"It's going to be okay." He said hugging me.
"No. It's not." I said into his shoulder.
We sat there. He didn't let go of me. I stopped crying. He pulled back so our faces were two inches apart.
"It will be." He leaned in and kissed me.
I woke up. I was in my room at my house. The horror dawned upon me. None of it was real. Not even the boy I thought I loved, Nico Di Angelo.
     I got dressed and went to the park downtown. My town's Central Park. I sat there wondering why I would have a dream like that. I texted Paige and asked if she would meet me at the café around the corner. She said yeah. So I walked to the café. After five minutes she showed up. We got Coolatas and sat down to talk. I told her about the dream. She looked almost...nervous. When we went to go get more Coolatas I saw two familiar looking figures out of the corner of my eye.
       "Umm. Paige I'm sorry I have to go. I'll text you later. Bye."
       I walked after the figures so that I didn't scare them. One turned around and saw me then started running. So I ran too. They turned in a alley that only went one way so they were trapped but only I knew that apparently. I turned into the alley.
      "Hey! Show yourselves!" I yelled at them. They didn't turn around.  "I said show yourselves. And why are you following me?" I yelled again.
      They turned around this time. The two people I thought I would never see again.
