Nico's Point of View
The doctor had told us she had lost a lot of blood. I walked into the room and shut the door. I didn't want Jax to hear. I saw Maggie and went to her side. I held her hand and started to talk to her.
"Maggie, I-I-I'm so sorry. If I...if I hadn't stopped you..." I couldn't continue at the moment. A tear rolled down my face. "We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me." Another tear. "P-P-Please Maggie. I need you. I need to be able to hug you a-a-and kiss you." My crying turned into sobbing. "Maggie...I love you! I'll always love you. You are the love of my life and I need you back!"
I looked down at her hand. She was squeezing my hand.
"Maggie. Are you awake?" I questioned.
She squeezed my hand even more. "Yes." She said barely a whisper.
"Oh my gods, Maggie. You scared me I thought you would never wake up." I said. "Do you want some water?"
She nodded her head. I got up went over to the counter and pour some water into the blue plastic cup sitting on the tray next to the water pitcher. I walked back over and sat the cup down on the counter next to her bed. I held her hand and put my other hand on her back. She had a pained express when she first left her back off the bed. Before she sat up complete she let out a groan of pain.
"Are you okay?" I asked setting pillows behind her.
She nodded her head but didn't say anything. I handed her the cup. She has a blessing from Poseidon so water should help, right? She drank the whole cup.
"Nico...I love you so much and I thought I would never get to see you again either." She paused, tears rolling down her face. I sat on the bed, next to her to be closer to her. "I can't live without you. I'm so sorry. Please stay with me!" She was sobbing now so I pulled her into a tight hug.
"It's okay, Maggie. I can't live without you. You'll be lucky if I ever let you go." We both laughed at that.
"Nico...I have to tell you something first." Maggie said. She pulled away and looked at me with a serious expression.
"What's wrong, Maggie?" I asked concerned. I still hadn't taken my arms away from the hug.
"Jax came in here." She paused. What if she does love Jax more then me? "He told me he loves me. And then he kissed me." She said looking to see how I felt about this.
"You love him, don't you?" I asked, taking my arms away from her and standing up. "I knew. I should have never let him come in here to see you." My voice was only a whisper. I started backing away.
"Nico!" I didn't look back.
Maggie's Point of View
I looked at Nico to see what he was feeling. I just told him that Jax kissed me and professed his love for me. I honestly expected Nico to go and kill Jax.
"You love him, don't you?" Nico's voice was barely a whisper. He retracted his arms from around me and stood up. He turned around and walked away.
"Nico!" I yelled throwing the covers off my legs.
I thought I would be able to walk. I was definitely wrong. I fell to the grounded with a thud. I tried to move but my leg hurt. I couldn't remember why it hurt. I was about to yell Nico again when two arms embraced me. The arms flipped me over and I saw Nico carrying me to my bed.
"I don't love him. I love you!" I whispered, emphasizing you.
"I'm sorry I overreacted. I just couldn't stand the thought of losing you." He whispered in my ear. He sat me down on the bed.
"You know I can't avoid the prophecy, right?" I asked.
"Well, we are going there as soon as you're healed. I'm supposed to shadow travel you to the ship when you are all healed." He explained.
"Take me now." I begged. I hate begging.
"No." He simply said.
"Please Nico. I don't want to stay here. I want to see everyone." I whined.
"Okay. Fine. But you have to talk to Jax." He said.
"Fine." He walked out of the room and came back with Jax. He came over and gave me a hug.
"You're awake." He said.
"Listen Jax. Nico is going to shadow travel me to the ship and we are going on the quest." He stated at me blankly.
"Okay. I want to come." He stated. I looked over at Nico.
"Okay. Fine." Nico said.
Nico picked me up bridal style and turned to Jax. "Hold on to my shoulder. And don't let go under any circumstance." Jax nodded and grabbed Nico's shoulder. With that I buried my face in Nico's neck.
"Hold on Sunshine." He said to me. I smirked into his neck. The instant we traveled through the shadows I was terrified. I tighten the grip my arms had on Nico's neck. When we were on the deck of the ship Nico whispered in my ear.
"It's okay. I told you I would never let go." My tenseness ceased.
He still held me when everyone came on the deck, bringing a bunch of chit-chat.
"Oh my gods! Maggie, you're okay!"
"Our little ball of fluff is back!!"
"Ohhh! We are so glad you are back and safe."
"My little sis is back!!!"
You would think that last one was from Annabeth but it was from Percy.
"But Percy...I'm not your sister." I said. He looked offended.
"When a god puts a blessing on a demigod that isn't their child it's basically them adopting you." I stared at him.
"That means I'm Nico's sister and girlfriend. And that's just weird." I said.
"It's not actually adoption. Although I'm going to have a talk with Poseidon." He said.
"You do that bro!" I said. He looked at me happily. He started jumping up and down. Then he stopped suddenly.
"Who the Hades is that?" Percy said pointing to Jax.
