I was the first one there. Aaron got there second and Will lost. Will tried so hard to catch up but he was five yards behind us. Aaron and I were laughing. We laughed so hard I fell over. Aaron could barely stop laughing to make sure I was okay. I nodded and stopped laughing as best as I could. I was still on the floor. Aaron offered me a hand and lifted me up. When I stood up I actually got a good look at him for the first time. He has glasses and he's just about as tall as Nico, if not as tall.
"Am I shorter than everyone here?" I said out loud.
"What?" Aaron laughed.
"It just seems like everyone is taller than me." I explained. Will came up behind us.
"How tall are you?" Will asked.
"5'4". Why?" I asked.
"Yep. You are." Will confirmed.
"You've got to be kidding me." Will and Aaron started laughing. "How do you even know that?" I yelled.
"We have routine check-ups here. Actually they're today. That's why I need your help."
"Okay. Well let's get everything ready. It's 6:50 and everybody gets up at 8:00." I said. "I'm in charge of music."
"Fine. Just choose good music. Please!" Will said.
"Is Panic! At The Disco okay?" I asked fully aware it was a yes.
"You know it sis!" Will shouted. He was getting the scale and height equipment ready.
I went over to the computer and turned it on. I typed in the password and the screen popped to life with an Apollo screensaver.
"Will, would you like to explain the reason Apollo is your screensaver?"
"He came here the one time and did that. We can't change it or he'll give us all sunburn." He explained.
"Okay then." I went into the browser and saw Will had an email. "Will, you have an email."
"From when?" He asked walking over.
"Umm, ten minutes ago. Who would send you an email at this time?" I asked.
"I don't know. I wonder who this anonymous is. Open it." He said.
When I opened it I was astonished. In the email was three pictures. One of Aaron and me in the same bed. Then the next one of his arm around my waist, cuddling me when we were asleep. The last one was of us hugging.
"Oh my gosh. Who was this sent to?" I asked. Aaron walked over and was looking at the pictures.
"When did that happen?" He said, pointing to the second picture.
"I don't know." I said.
"Guys. We have a bigger problem. This was sent to the whole camp." Will said with panic in his voice and eyes.
"What does that mean?" Aaron asked.
"It means you have about an hour to live." I explained.
"Why?" Now Aaron looked frightened too.
"My boyfriend doesn't like other boys around me. See, there was this other boy who liked me. I chose Nico. So the other boy kidnapped me and tried to sacrifice me so an evil ancient god could rise. And he was ultimately the reason Nico and me ended up in Tartarus." I explained really fast.
"Oh." He said. "I'm kinda scared for my life now. Who's his godly parent? Please don't say Ares." He crossed his fingers.
"Worse. His godly parent is Hades, the god of the Underworld." Will said.
"Oh. Great."
"I have a plan. Let's just get everything ready for the check-ups today. And listen to some music. Miss. Jackson okay?" I asked both of them.
"Yes. I love that song!" Aaron said.
"Good. Then we will play it at your funeral after Nico gets you." Will joked. "And yes. Miss. Jackson is just fine."
(A/N: Just play it in the background to create the illusion. Love you guys so much!!)
We got everything together to get through the check-ups quickly. We had to do the Aphrodite cabin, Athena cabin, Poseidon cabin, and the Hades cabin in our three hours working here. I was going to take care of the girls and Will and Aaron were going to take care of the guys. We had five minutes until it would be eight o'clock.
"I'm going to go make so hot chocolate before I have to save Aaron's life. Either of you want any?" I asked.
"YES PLEASE!!" They both shouted. It was like dealing with children.
I went in and made three cups of hot chocolate. I add my secret ingredient and marshmallows because you can't have hot chocolate without marshmallows. And then the final touch, whip cream. I put a spoon in each the cups and carried them in. By now it 8:03, which is okay because Nico sleeps through the first alarm. But by now he has seen it already and is getting dressed. Now he's storming over here. Time to save a life.
"I would move back a little bit. And set your hot chocolate down." I said to Aaron.
"I thought you were going to stop him." Aaron said, putting his hot chocolate down.
"I am. But the way I am is going to save you will make your hot chocolate just be cold chocolate." I explained. "In three...two..." The doors burst open.
"Where are you? I know you weren't in your cabin you little b—" Nico spotted Aaron. "What do you think you were doing with my girlfriend?" Nico yelled. He was about three feet away. Two. Aaron covered his face for the punch that would never come.
"You—Ouch!" Nico went backwards. He ran into my wind shield. I caught him with a gust of wind and stood him back up. I walked in front of him.
"Its not what you think." I said.
"Okay. Explain." He calmed down. I still can't believe I'm the only one that has that effect on him.
"He had to share a bed with me because there was only one extra bed and his brother kicks. The cuddling thing was not intentional. It happened when we were both asleep. And we were hugging because I had a bad dream." I explained. I was out of breath from that.
"Are you okay, Ghost Queen?" He asked, pulling me into a hug.
"Now I am." I hugged him back. He leaned down and kissed my forehead. I leaned up and kissed his lips.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, looking into my eyes.
"Later. We will go to the willow. Right now you have to get a check up." I said.
"Okay. Lead the way." He said with a smirk.
"Not by me." I explained. Nico glared at Will and Aaron.
"No. I think it's best if you take care of him." Will said in a high-pitched voice.
"Alright. Right this way sir." I lead Nico to the station were I was doing the check-ups at.
