The Butt-Kicking

           Maggie's Point of View
     "Wow. Not the response I was expecting." Nico said. He had a grin on his face. "Wait...so are you still mad at me?"
"No." I said with a huge smile. "I can't stay mad at you. I love you too much." I said, kissing his cheek.
     "Thank the gods I thought I would never hear you say that again." He sighed relieved.
"Although Percy and Jax are in trouble." I said. "You weren't involved until Jax brought you into it. But Percy and Jax were fighting before that."
     "Okay well you kick Percy's butt right now. And Jax's at breakfast." Nico said.
     "Okay. Let's go." I followed Nico to the deck. When we were walking, we walked hand-in-hand to the deck.
     "Hey Maggie! You're okay!" Percy yelled running towards me, trying to give me a hug. I manipulated the wind to form an invisible wall in front of Nico and me. Percy ran right into it.
     "Ouch!! Hey what was that for!" He yelled at me, touching his stomach.
     "You got into a fight, Percy." I gave him my best death glare. I stopped the wall and started moving towards him slowly.
     "I'm sorry, Maggie. I was just upset that you were getting hurt. It started to happen once Jax came around. So I assumed it was his fault." He said, backing away.
     "He's my friend, Percy. He won't hurt me. And even if he did I can take care of myself." I said, stopping.
     "Maggie, please forgive me. It's just you are practically my sister and I don't want anything bad to happen to you." Percy said. He stepped towards me and put his hands on my shoulder. He squared down to look me in the eyes, which was hard to do because he's 6'1" and I'm 5'3". "Please forgive me. I truly am sorry." He looked at me and I knew he meant it.
     "Fine." He hugged me tightly. "For once I would like to be able to stay mad at you guys." I said turning to Nico then back to Percy.
     "You can never stay mad at us." Nico said while smirking. I turned to Percy to see him smirking too.
     "Let's just get through this watch. Okay?" I asked turning to look at both of them.
    "Okay." They said in unison.
     We stood there for a few minutes in silence. Nico on my right side, arm around my waist looking to see if anything was out of the ordinary, Percy on my left side, only about six inches from me and doing the same as Nico, and me, watching the stars. I knew they were just being protective but they didn't need to stay close to me at all times.
     "You guys don't have to stay close to me. It's okay. I'll be fine." I told them.
     "Maggie, I'm not taking eyes off you. I am not letting you out of my site." Percy said.
     "Unless she's with me, right?" Nico asked. Percy shook his head.
     "I don't trust you either." Percy said giving him the death stare.
     "What?! The most I'm going to do is kiss her." Nico defended himself. Percy thought about this for a moment.
     "Fine." I smiled and so did Nico. "But if I find out anything happened, I swear Di Angelo you will regret it."
     "Don't worry Percy." Nico said. I was laughing when Percy turned to me looking serious. Nico followed suit so I was standing with both of them in front of me.
     "What happened during the time you fell down and passed out?" He asked looking concerned.
     "What do you mean?" I asked, not wanting to tell.
      "Well, you were freaking out and saying 'Please stop. He doesn't deserve this. Take me instead.' And you came out of that trance and said sorry to Nico. Why? What happened?" Percy was growing impatient and Nico looked like he was about to get involved.
"Okay. I'll tell you." I paused and took a deep breath. " I saw Annabeth and me walking through a dark cave and  then it changed to Nico and me. We were fighting monsters in a place that looked like it was on fire. I killed a Manticore while he was taking care of a Minotaur. I heard a scream of pain and turned to see Nico. I went to move but I couldn't. Roots covered my feet. I couldn't get to him. Then Ouranos appeared and said he was going to use Nico to make him stronger. He started cutting him and I couldn't take it..." I looked up at Nico. "You were dying. So I told him to take me instead. He said if I did that I would suffer a long, painful death. But I couldn't let you die. Then I saw you in front of me, apologized, and blacked out." I finished. I didn't bring my eyes up to see their faces. I didn't want them to see the tears running down my face.
     All of the sudden I was embraced by the two boys. When they hugged me I broke down. I cried in their arms not caring if they saw that I was scared. I was just glad I had these two in my life.
    After about ten minutes the hug ended. I wiped my face dry while they made sure I was okay. For the rest of the watch we just sat on the deck and talked with each other. When it was time for breakfast we got up and started walking.
    "You know I'm not letting you anywhere near Jax today, right?" Percy said. Nico nodded his head in agreement.
    "But I have to yell at him." I whined.
    "Fine but if he retries to touch you, Nico and I will break him." Percy said. Nico nodding in agreement once again. With that we walked into the dining hall.
   
I'm so sorry for not updating in a while. I love you guys so much. I will try to update more often. If you actually read this you're awesome.
