Maggie's Point of View
As soon as I opened the door Jax came running towards me from across the room. I manipulated the wind again and watched as he hit it. He ended up falling unlike Percy.
"What was that for?" He whined, getting up.
"You got into a fight, Jax." I said. Knowing that I shouldn't let the wall down. I didn't.
"Please Maggie let me expl-Ouch!" He walked right into it again. This time I let the wall down.
"Explain what?! How you were agreeing with my brother?! How you dragged the love of my life into this?! How any of this is happening?!" I yelled. Annabeth and Jason walked in.
"Maggie, we're best friends. I didn't mean to do anything wrong!" He pleaded with me. I slowly started walking towards him.
"You're right. We are best friends. But I have a question. If we are best friends why did you kiss me?" I said in a calm tone.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw everyone was backed away from me. Rhaeghan, Leo, Jason, Hazel, and Frank looked scared. Percy and Annabeth held Nico back. I didn't know why until I looked up. The light in the room was fighting against the shadows. It was a war between the light and dark. Light was barely winning. Jax still hasn't answered and it has been a minute.
"Answer!" I yelled.
"Because I-I-I thought y-y-yo-you liked m-m-me." He answered finally. He had been backing up slowly this whole time. Now he was against the wall. I walked up to him and lean toward him.
"No. I don't. And be careful. Because next time you make a mistake like that the consequences will be worse." I whispered in his ear.
I turned and walked towards Nico. The room was back to normal now. Except everybody was staring at me in fear.
"I'm sorry I don't know what happened." I said, turning around and walking away.
I went to a secret room I had found the first time we were on here. The door was behind some pipes. You have to turn the knob then the pipes disappear because they were only a hologram. In the secret room there was a bed, a couch, a bookshelf, and a plain black rug. The walls were white but look grey in the lighting. I went and laid down on the bed. Then I heard the door open. I didn't bother to take my gaze away from the ceiling.
"I thought no one else knew about this room." I said to whom ever it was.
"I followed you." My brother's voice answered.
Percy's Point of View
"I'm sorry I don't know what happened." She turned around and walked away.
"I'm going to go talk to her. Nico stay here. Annabeth don't let him near Jax." I said turning to go after her.
After about five minutes, she stopped in front of pipes. She reach toward the wall then the pipes disappeared. It was door! She walked in. I waited five minutes until I walked in. She was laying on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
"I thought no one else knew about this room." She said, not looking away from the ceiling.
"I followed you." I admitted. She sat up and turned her head towards me. She was hugging her legs.
"I'm sorry. But if you're looking for an explanation I don't have one." She said. She looked down at her feet. She seemed ashamed.
"I didn't come for one. I came to make sure you are okay." I said, walking over to the bed and sitting down in front of her.
"What's your definition of okay? Because probably not." She said jokingly.
"My definition of okay is alive." I said laughing. I was lucky to be alive after everything that happened. Especially with Gaea.
"I don't feel alive." She admitted.
"Why not?" I asked.
"If these dreams are real then one of us is going to die. And knowing that, I can't help but feel responsible. I would rather wear all pink for the rest of my life then possible lose Annabeth, Leo, or Rhaeghan. And you...if I lost you I wouldn't be able to deal with it." She was shedding silent tears.
"You won't have to. No one is dying." I said. "And you hate pink. Like a lot!"
"Exactly!" She said smiling.
I hugged her. She hugged back. It really did feel like she was my sister. Not because Annabeth was my girlfriend. But as if she really was MY sister. It was just a feeling. We stopped hugging after about ten minutes.
"Come on. You need to eat. And I'm sure Nico is worried sick about you." I said, offering my hand to help her up.
"Why didn't he come?" She asked.
"I told him to stay there so I could talk to you about it. For once." She laughed.
We walked to the dining hall. When we walked in everybody was halfway done with dinner. Maggie sat down between me and Nico. I handed her a plate. Almost instantly there was pancakes and bacon on the plate. She started digging in. I was just glad she was eating instead of starving herself.
"Maggie, are you okay?" Nico asked. He must have been waiting to ask.
"As okay as I can be." She replied. "Once this is over, I'll be better."
"I will always be here for you." He said turning back to his food. He turned toward her again. "You know that right?"
"Yes, Nico. And I would, if it's not too much to ask, like you to stay by me. Is that okay?" She questioned.
"I wasn't planning on leaving your side." He said smirking.
He leaned in and kissed her cheek. She kissed him back on the lips. They moved their chairs right next to each other. Then he slide his arm around her waist.
After dinner, Nico and Maggie went to Maggie's room. I trusted Nico. I just liked giving him a hard time. After they left I turned to the others.
"I don't think Maggie should take any watches. She should focus on her health for now." I said.
"Agreed!" Everyone said together.
