The Surprise

Nico's Point of View
   I don't even know how long I sat there. It could have been minutes. Hours. Seconds. I'm pretty sure it was at least an hour. Percy put his hand on my shoulder. I looked up and he gave me the look. The it's-time-to-go look. I took her off my lap and kneeled beside her.
      I was about to put her down when I heard a cough. Maggie shook in my arms as she coughed. SHE WAS ALIVE!!! She leaned over as if she was going to puke. And gagged. Probably because she had just died.
    "SON OF A BITCH!" She yelled in a weird tone. Her eyes went wide. "WAIT!! How am I alive?!" She said.
    "I don't know." I said. Then I pulled her into a hug. "But I'm sure as hell happy to see you!"
    "Did I even die?" She asked hugging back.
    "Well you went limp in my arms. But I'm not sure. I'm sorry by the way. I got your hair wet." She lifted her hand to her hair.
    "It's okay. But I think I might need an actual shower later." We both laughed. It felt good to laugh again.
    "You were never supposed to die." I said. "Rachel's vision was of you unconscious."
    "Oh my gosh! I wasn't supposed to die! This is amazing! Neither of us were!" She said. She hugged me tighter this time. I couldn't breath but honestly I didn't care. I hugged her back just as much.
    "Oh no." She said.
    "What's wrong?" I immediately pulled away and looked at her face. She was looking at her hand. It was covered in blood. Then she looked at her leg.
    "Is there a fountain around here?" She said and looked around.
    "Yeah. One by the entrance." Angel told her.
"Okay. Let's go!" She said. I picked her up bridal style.
"I can limp my way there." She said looking at me.
"And why would I let you do that?" I said.
"Whatever." She turned away. Probably hoping that I wouldn't see her blushing. But I did.
We walked for about five minutes before we saw the fountain. I lowered Maggie toward the water. She motioned for me to stop lowering her so I did. She reached her hand down and touched the water gently. Only her fingertips were touching the water. The water ran up her arm, down the side of her shirt, and down her leg to where the cut was. It healed the cut in twenty seconds but now there was a scar in its place. She lifted her hand back up and turned towards me.
"You can put me down now." She said. She prepared to be put down.
"No." I started walking to the ship. We were at the entrance when we heard the leaves rustle as if someone was following us. We all turned around, swords drawn, to find a teenage boy with blonde hair and tanned skin.
"Apollo." Maggie said plainly.
"Nice to see you too." He replied sarcastically.
"Oh I'm sorry. It's so nice to see you." She said, sarcasm dripping from her voice.
"Well aren't you a little ray of sunshine." He said.
"And darkness. And earth and lightning and ice and water and fire and wind." She replied. "Nico put me down please." I did because I knew this was going to be good. She would either kill him or insult him.
    "Whatever. Anyways..." He started.
    "WAIT ONE SECOND! I just saved the world and you say whatever to me!" She said. Like I said, this is going to be good.
    "So you saved the world. I invented music and medicine." He said back. Wrong move dude. Wrong move.
    "Yeah. And without me there wouldn't be anymore music or medicine. And you wouldn't be a god anymore." She said calmly.
    It was amazing how she could go from 0-100 and back in seconds. Apollo was about to say something that would have probably been stupid, but someone appeared out of the garden. A little ten-year-old looking girl.
    "Lady Artemis." Maggie bowed.
    "Margaret." Artemis bowed back. Then she came over and kneeled in front of Maggie. "I would like to apologize for my brother. And show my gratitude for saving us, the gods and goddesses, and the world." She bowed her head. A goddess is showing a sign of gratitude to someone who would be seen as below her. I just love Maggie even more now.
    "Please get up, Lady Artemis. It's not a big deal." Maggie put out her hand to help Artemis up. Artemis took her hand.
    "The gods and goddesses want you to come to Olympus."
    "Oh okay. Can everybody come?" Maggie asked.
    "Yes." Artemis said.
    "Okay. Let's go then." Maggie grabbed my hand and we went to Olympus.
     When we got there Zeus asked where Jax was. We had brought him along to give to the gods. We handed him over. And he asked Maggie to step forward. She did and he offered to make her a goddess. She turned it down. Zeus looked at her as if she was nuts.
    "Why?" He asked.
    "Because my place is by Nico's side." She explained. Aphrodite squealed.
    "Alright fine." Zeus sighed.
    "Can you do me a favor though?" She asked.
    "What?" Poseidon spoke up.
    "Can you transport us to Camp Half-Blood?" She asked sweetly.
    "Yes. Of course." Poseidon answered.
     She grabbed my hand. We were back at Camp Half-Blood now. We walked towards the cabin. Piper ran towards us and she was squealing. She was one of Maggie's friends. Also an Aphrodite child. 
    "Guess what?" She said stopping in front of us.
    "What?" Maggie said mocking her excitement.
    "Haha. In honor of you all surviving we are having a party."
    "Okay. When?" I asked.
    "Tomorrow night after karaoke. Karaoke was moved to after dinner. And the party is after. At the beach." She explained.
    "You're going to plan a party in one day?!" I asked.
    "No. Knowing her she has been planning this. Am I correct?" Maggie said.
    "Yes. And that's not the only thing." Piper said. By then the whole group caught up to us and was listening. "You guys are the people, along with me, who are singing tomorrow at karaoke."
    Everybody started complaining but Maggie silenced them.
    "Listen. We just almost all died. I think karaoke could be fun and we get to choose our songs." Maggie looked to Piper and they both smiled. "Besides Annabeth, Rhaeghan, Hazel, Angel, Piper, we girls are going to do at least two group songs dissing boys." That got the girls attention. Annabeth looked to Hazel, Rhaeghan, and Angel. A silent conversation going on.
    "Okay. We're in." The girls all jumped around.
    "Okay girls. We have to have a sleepover tonight. Choose our outfits and songs. Boys choose your songs and tell me. And if you want them to be a surprise then I'll keep them a secret." Piper said. The girls rushed off.
     "We're using the Hades cabin." Maggie yelled back to me. "Love you! Goodnight!"
     "Love you too! Goodnight!" I yelled back.
     "Come on man! We will have a sleepover at my cabin!" Percy said.
     Percy, Jason, Frank, Leo, and I walked to Percy's cabin.
