Ashley's POV
He left. My reason to live. My will to go on. My whole entire world. Gone. For a whole week I've been alone. A whole freaking week.
"Ashley?" A voice spoke.
I didn't answer.
In the doorway I saw a shadow swaying back and forth. "Ash are you okay?"
CC
"I'm..." I couldn't say okay. "CC?"
"I'm here buddy," he whispered, walking over to me and sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Forever right?" I responded, wanting reassurance.
He gave me this look. A look that silently asked why the hell would I be lying.
"How is Crystal?" I asked, scared of the answer. She may be worse than I was.
CC sighed. "I honestly don't know." Genuine sadness took over his face. He really cared about her. You could see it.
"She'll be okay," I said, offering my best smile. "I promise."
"And so will you buddy," he chuckled, patting the top of my head like he had so many times before.
I frowned. Lies. All lies. I'll never feel better ever again. Andy is gone. Gone and it's all my fault!
There was a knock on the door.
"Come in," CC called before I could stop him. I didn't want to talk to anybody right now.
"What's up?" Jake said, walking into the dark room.
Everytime I looked at Jake I couldn't help but hate myself a little bit more. I hurt him.
"Ash don't give me that face," he said, reading my thoughts.
"Sorry," I chocked out, wiping my teary eyes.
"Don't apologize," he said, patting me on the shoulder.
The three of us sat in silence for a few minuets. It wasn't an awkward silence, more of a comfortable one.
"Come downstairs," CC suggested suddenly.
I looked at him in confusion. Why would I do that?
"Yeah!" Jake chimed in, grabbing onto my clammy hand and pulling me off the bed.
I didn't feel like protesting. I needed to come out at some point. I haven't had a substantial meal in over a week and to say I was hungry was an understatement. A life without Andy would be hard, but manageable.
Especially since I didn't plan on living much longer.
