Cal looked up from his computer, eyes widening as he took me in.
"Luce?" He stood up, his chair teetering as he strode towards me.
"Wait? You know each other?" Ethan asked, looking between us in confusion. His mouth was open slightly, brow furrowed in confusion.
"Come here, bro." Cal said, pulling me in for a tight hug. Err, what on earth was he doing? I knew who he was, vaguely, but that didn't make his sudden embrace any more comfortable.
"I came to see ya a few times but unfortunately you weren't the best company." Cal joked, squeezing me tightly. Memories suddenly came flooding back like a tidal wave as my body responded to his touch. We were good mates! He had helped me move in to my old apartment and everything! Elated I had remembered at least one of my friends; I hugged him back tightly. Relief was swamping through me; I hadn't spent my whole life under a rock after all.
"Cal..." I said as he swung me slightly in his arms. Given my height, I was pressed into his chest, his arms right round my shoulders. It was rather constricting.
"You're squishing me bro." I told him, taking a deep breath when he finally let go.
"Sorry." He laughed, rubbing the top of my head in a friendly manner. I glanced at Ethan, who's mouth was still open and JJ, who stood frozen in the entrance to the lounge.
"You know him?" JJ asked, pizza in his hand forgotten. If Ethan didn't close his mouth soon, I feared he might accidentally swallow a bug.
"Um, yep we're good pals." I replied with a shrug. Plus, he was one of my only friends I could remember. I'm pretty sure we were rather close.
"I would've let her stay here, but we've got a full house." Cal explained.
"Simon and Josh know all this." He added, putting his hands on his hips.
"Who said my name?" Josh asked, entering the room.
"Cal and Lucy know each other." Ethan stumbled, finally shutting his mouth.
"Yes, did you not know that?" Josh asked with a small frown. Wait, did Josh know? I was beginning to get confused. Here was a web of connection that I didn't quite understand.
"This is actually so confusing. How have we not met you before? How'd you meet Cal?" Ethan asked, looking slightly stressed. I wasn't sure if he was coping with the information overload. I wasn't even sure if I was.
"Can I tell them?" Cal asked, looking at me. I glanced round the group. I guess my YouTube career wasn't going to stay hidden from them for long.
I nodded slowly, not in the mood for explaining everything myself.
"You know the Redtwins?" Cal asked, sitting back down. The others made themselves comfortable around the lounge to listen. I took a seat at the counter next to Simon, watching Cal explain. Did he realize I was also slightly confused about how everyone connected?
"Yup, the twin gamers." JJ responded. He knew who we were? My eyes widened in shock at the realization.
"And Lucylu?"
"That girl Harry's had a crush on forever?" Vik queried. I blushed suddenly. The boy I had saved knew who I was, watched my videos?
"Well, she's moving in with you guys."
I would've paid a large amount of money to have a camera to record their response. Nearly all jaws hit the floor, and wide eyes turned to me.
"You're Lucylu?" Ethan asked, flabbergasted.
