| Hold Back the River - James Bay |
"OH my days! The sand is burning!" I giggled as Simon, Cal and Ethan sprinted on their tiptoes up the beach from the cool water.
I had a moment more of peace before all three of them launched themselves onto the white sunbathing chair I was sitting on.
"Careful!" I cried as a knee almost flew into my face.
"Sorry Lucy!" Ethan exclaimed before making a leap of faith towards Tobi, who was also elevated of the sand in a chair.
A squashed "oooff" Sound came from Tobi as Cal followed in Ethans footsteps.
"Get off me!" Tobi was yelling, arms flailing from under the pair.
"Sorry!" Ethan yelled, finally jumping onto the last free seat.
"I think I burned my feet." Simon was sitting at the end of my seat, inspecting each foot with care.
"It has to be at least 32 degrees here, so I wouldn't be at all surprised." I laughed as Simon continued to swipe the remaining sand of his feet.
"Can you check them?" He asked, offering me his right foot. Huh? He wanted me to look at his feet? No thanks!
"Keep your feet to yourself man!" I exclaimed as he waved his rather large foot before my face. Simon grinned at my response, before lunging for my own feet.
"EEEKKKK!" I cried out as he tickled at the soles of my feet, the ankles, and up my calves. I swung them all over the place, trying to stop Simon from tickling me any more.
"Simon!" I giggled, my breath wheezing as I tried to stop laughing.
"Stop! Please! Stop! I can't take it!" Simon just smirked at me, redoubling his efforts. Due to Simons much longer arms, he managed to keep up his ministrations till I really struggled to breathe. Letting my legs go, Simon somehow ended up with his stomach over my thighs as I stopped laughing, my breathing returning to normal.
"I never knew you were ticklish, my dear." He smirked, sitting upright. How on earth did he manage to get between my legs? A hot flush suddenly ran over my body, and I knew it wasn't from the sun beating down on us.
" That tired me out though, you were struggling quite hard." Simon admitted.
"That's because you were tickling me!"
Simon shrugged before leaning back into me.
"And now you're squashing me." His back was pressed against my hips, head resting on my stomach, with his arms dangling over my bent legs. While it wasn't uncomfortable, I could feel the looks of my friends as they glanced our way.
"No, I'm just protecting you from the sun."
"Simon, we are underneath a umbrella right now."
He shrugged, making his back push my hips harder against the chair. A strange tingle ran over my body, making my skin shiver.
"Well, you just shivered, so I'm keeping you warm. We don't want you to come down with hypothermia, you know?" Shoot! He could obviously feel what our current position, our closeness was doing to my body.
"Luce?" His voice was much quieter this time, his right hand brushing against my leg, where the others couldn't see.
"Yes?" I breathed.
"If you're not comfortable with me here, I can move." His voice was barely a whisper, his touch on my leg feather light. Electricity was running over my skin.
