Football Challenges

Real life football wasn't really my thing. I'd be down for a game of rugby anyway, or a match of FIFA with the guys, but anything round that could easily trip me up was something I did not want to run around with.

Despite all that, I still was dragged down to some massive indoor football pitch with the guys to film some football videos. Damn Tobi's persuasive skills.

My jaw literally dropped when we entered the huge building. Holy shit.

I felt someone gently close my mouth. I blushed as Tobi grinned at me, shaking his head slightly. The others were making there way across the massive pitch to the far corner. We had nothing like this in New Zealand. The closest we came to an indoor sports field of such a scale was the Forsyth Barr Stadium.

"Shit this is big!" I exclaimed, turning as I walked behind Tobi. He chuckled.

"I thought the same thing when I first came here."

I almost tripped as I walked backwards, gazing round the building.

"Hurry up!" I heard JJ scream. I ignored him, my neck craned back to look to the high ceiling. Simon and JJs videos could wait till I had fully absorbed the enormity of our location.

"Watch out!" Tobi suddenly exclaimed. I looked around, just as JJ grabbed me round the middle, throwing me over his shoulder.

"JJ!" I squealed, bashing my fists on his back. He just laughed, jogging me over towards the others. His shoulder was digging into my stomach as he ran.

"Help Tobi!" I cried, but my friend just shook his head, grinning.

"Traitor!" I shouted, hearing laughter behind me.

"There ya go, Lu Lu." JJ said, placing me gently on my feet. I folded my arms, glaring at my taller friend. He tried to keep a straight face, but failed miserably. I ended up clutching my sides in laughter as JJ rolled round on the ground giggling. Why was it even funny?

"Okay, let's get started." Simon said, pointing behind his camera. Everyone moved behind it so he could do his intro. Apparently he was going to do the video first. I wish I had actually listened in the car rather than daydream on the way over here. That way I'd have slightly more understanding of what was going on.

"So today, we're doing a bunch of stuff here in the soccer dome." Simon said, bending down slightly.

"We asked for all you guys to suggest challenges for us to do here." He continued. I watched Simon closely, smiling at how passionate he was with this. You could really tell he loved his job. Simon glanced up at me, and grinned.

"Toss us the hat, Ethan." Simon asked. Ethan did as requested, the hat smacking Simon on the nose, the little bits of paper with the suggestions on it falling to the ground. Ethan giggled as Simon pulled a face into the camera.

I bit my lip, containing my laughter.

It took Simon another age to get through his intro; the boys kept on distracting him.

"First up are blindfolded goals." Simon declared. We all took turns shooting at the goal with blindfolds on. A couple were successful, Ethan being at the bottom of the dog pile when he scored on the first go.

"Tobi?" I said, tapping him on the shoulder. He turned round to face me, smiling.

"What's up?" He asked. I stepped back, beckoning for him to follow me.

" I've never attempted this before." I whispered, hoping the other guys wouldn't hear. Tobi's eyes widened.

"What?"
