| I Need My Girl - The National|
Something incredible had happened. Something that made the whole world freeze before leaping into frantic action. Something that was bringing people together. Something that quite possibly could be the solution to the American obesity problem.
Pokemon go was released into the world.
Having been a avid fan of the game and show, I was of course quick to jump onto the new game. Years of waking up to Ash and his squad taking on the world had spurred my initial engagement in the game.
The other guys in the house had also been quick to pick up the game, Simon already having filmed a amusing, but slightly disturbing video. It had taken ages to film, almost everyone in the house helping Simon out. I felt as if JJs questionable sense of humor had majorly influenced the skit.
It was more of a JJ thing to be making love to a small plush toy. Either way, it made for a entertaining video.
I grinned to myself as I remembered the part when Simon threw the pokeball at Lewis.
"Lucy! Stop day dreaming!" Josh's loud voice pulled me from my thoughts.
"You've missed three pokestops now!" Vik said, his phone up as he tried to catch a high level nidoking.
"Any good Pokémon around?" I asked, reopening the app.
"It's mainly pidgeys and rattatas at the moment." Simon replied.
"So I could've day dreamed a while longer." I said with a roll of my eyes.
"You missed out on bants." Josh said, looking at me in the rear view mirror. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"You sure about that?"
"Come on, Vik said a funny joke about grass just before." Simon rebutted. I scoffed. Grass? Really? When had their jokes fallen so low?
"I bet some of this will come up in the next cards against humanity." Vik laughed, waving his phone about.
"Vik, I don't think that's going to help you catch Pokémon." Simon called from the front seat.
"WAIT!!!" Vik suddenly screamed, staring at his phone in shock.
"What is it?" Josh cried, skidding to a halt. Did he realize we had just stopped in the middle of the street? I looked down at my phone, wondering what pokemon had appeared to instigate such a reaction from Vik.
"It's a lickitongue!" Vik exclaimed. Oh, I uynderstood his excitement now. I hurriedly re loaded the app, hoping it would appear.
"Okay, I really want this one based on Viks reaction." Simon was saying into his vlogging camera. Was I out of sight? I sure hoped so. I didn't want to be accidentally exposed to the world.
"Sure you can catch it?" I teased, grinning at the pink Pokémon appeared on my screen.
"Rough!" Josh laughed.
"Okay, whoever catches it last out of us has to whatever the other says." Simon said aggressively.
"Like a default?" I asked, as the app finally loaded the lickitongue onto my screen.
"Yep."
"Well, you're going to be my bitch for the day, because I just caught the lickitongue." I cried, holding up my arms in victory.
"No way." Simon groaned as I showed him my phone screen.
"Guess who's going to be giving piggy back rides all day." I giggled, ruffling Simon's hair.
