Limousines and old friends

As soon as I left the hospital, I knew my life was going to be a hell of a lot more interesting. The boys molded as one, totally in sync, perfect harmony. They were like the multiple cogs and wheels of a watch, while each was completely different and an individual in himself, paired with the others they made magic.

I grinned as I watched them interact with each other, playfully pushing and tossing banter with ease. I was either going to really enjoy these new flat mates, or I would end up in a mental asylum. I jumped, startled as Josh threw an arm over my shoulder.

"Have a nickname we can use?" He asked as we continued to walk.

"I don't mind, people can call me what they want," I replied with a small shrug.

"Within reason." I added with a grin as I saw the look on Josh's face.

"Luce sound alright?" He asked, removing his arm from my shoulder as we reached the huge double doors at the exit. I nodded; I had been called worse.

"After you, my lady." He said with a bow. I giggled and bobbed a curtsy before heading out the door after the rest of boys. The feel of moving, slightly polluted, but still fresh air felt incredible. I had only been exposed to still, recycled air and being out in the world was invigorating. The sun beat down on me, and I smiled up at the sky, pleasantly surprised that it was a nice day, despite being early autumn.

A shining black limo was waiting for us outside the hospital doors, a man in a fancy black suit holding the door open. His attire looked like it would cost more than my university tuition, and I wasn't exaggerating.

"We're driving in that?" I asked, wide eyed. I had never been in a limousine before. I hadn't even been this close to one.

"It was this or a van." JJ replied, his hands on his hips.

"Wow." I breathed, in shock.

"Well, it brings less attention than JJ's lambo." Simon replied. My mouth dropped open as I turned to Simon. I wasn't sure if he was joking about JJ's Lamborghini or not. I couldn't wrap my mind around the thought of knowing someone who owned such an expensive car. Simon nodded, smirking. Shocked, I clambered into the limo behind Tobi.

It took a bit of shuffling for everyone to get into the limo. One moment people would be happy with the seating plan, next there were bodies moving as great re assembly's occurred. I ended up squished between Simon and Tobi, opposite Vik and Ethan. It was a wonder that we all fit in. I awkwardly clasped my hands between my knees, avoiding the boys' eyes. God I hated how awkward I was with new people. Sure, I could get fired up, that was easy, but being civil and socializing was so much harder. New people usually meant problems. I didn't know their limits; the silent boundaries and they didn't know mine. I would have to test the water through trial and error.

"So, Lucy, let's hear about your life then." Ethan broke the silence, rubbing his hands together excitedly.

"Err." I started, and for some reason I glanced at Simon for assistance.

He made a movement with his head, nodding me on. I gulped, and asked.

"What do you all want to know?"

After a grand retelling of my life story, minus some embarrassing moments and little secrets, I felt I knew the boys slightly better, and they me. I hadn't told them about my videos I made with my brother, I wasn't sure why I held back, but I did. It was our little secret.

The car ride was quite enjoyable, and currently JJ had his phone out, and was snap-chatting our journey through London. I watched, a small smile playing on my lips as he zoomed in on Tobi, who was gazing out the window absentmindedly.
