| There Will Be Time - Mumford & Sons & Baaba Maal |
My groggy eyes could barely take in the marvel before me as I trundled into the huge apartment dining room. Having Harry strip down within minutes of arrival, the room hadn't made much of an impact on me, but now in the mid morning sun, my breath was taken away.
Perhaps it was the stunning architecture of the room, modern, elegant lines screaming sophistication or possibly it was the fact the room leading to one of the most incredible views of the city I had ever seen. The last option, and probably the most viable reason for my lack of breath was the immense amount of colorful, mouthwatering food that had been laden on the central table.
All manor of breakfast foods had been prepared, the table groaning in protest.
Everyone knew the way to a girls heart was through food, and boy whoever had made this sure was a romantic.
To top it all off, most of my good friends were already seated around the monstrous meal, chatting and laughing.
"Have you never seen a English breakfast before?" Callum smirked, his arm lazing over Sarah's shoulder.
"Cal, I feel like this is a bit more than a English breakfast." Vik piped up from the head of the table. He already had a plate piled precariously high with golden toast, eggs, sausages and... pineapple? Interesting combination if I don't say so myself.
"Quit eye fucking the food and sit down Luce."
JJ surely couldn't blame me for my amazement at what lay before me.
We would be lucky to get a slice of two day old cold pizza for breakfast back at home.
Choosing the open seat next to JJ, I slid down, still vastly impressed by the meal.
"Wow." Someone breathed. I glanced up to find Tobi in a similar state of amazement as he sat down opposite me.
"You guys are acting like you haven't had proper food in years!"
"JJ have you seen the shit we usually eat?" Ethan retorted, wiping his mouth on the back of his hand.
"You mean Simons cooking?" JJ laughed, smirking as the man in question wandered into the room, stretching out his arms as he yawned. I pretended the small strip of pale skin that appeared as his shirt climbed up didn't affect me. Not at all.
"What are you complaining about now?" He mumbled, swinging his lanky legs in next to Tobi.
"Is he still going on about his bloody phone?" Simon continued, shooting a quick smirk in JJs direction.
Did I mention Simon had a gorgeous morning voice?
Unfortunately for JJ, he had a mouthful of sausage, and by the looks of the liquid smeared around his lips and the bulging in his cheeks, a large amount of baked beans.
This meant we were all blessed with continuing blissful silence from JJ as he battled with his excessive mouthful of food.
Unfortunately, this silence was broken within a mere minute, and I was the one JJ had lined up to torment over toast.
I knew before he started that he was going to complain about his new phone. His left eye always twitches whenever someone brought it up.
Left eye twitching away as he turned to me, I prepared myself for his daily ritual of complaint towards his very flash iPhone7 plus.
I was pleasantly surprised for a moment as he didn't bash the "inconsiderate" "appalling" "shit" storage on the device - which at the time such conversation had surprised me, a) JJ had used words with more than 5 letters and b) how could he have used up all 512g on the thing within a week of its purchase?
