|Lost In The Light - Barchords|

After a solids hour of chatting with Olive, I had felt compelled to watch literally every 90s teen romance movie. Talk about a walk down memory lane.

There was nothing better than lying flat on your bed streaming feel good movies.

Olive and I had bonded in minutes, and I knew we would have a great friendship. She had helped me to understand my feelings, but that still left me with no idea what to do. I knew I felt something that was more than friends for the tall blonde boy, but I just didn't know what to do with them.

It was driving me absolutely insane.

Why couldn't my life be like Cher, with the perfect guy falling perfectly into place?

Ugh. If only.

Finally getting sick of soppy teen love stories, I moved onto something with a bit more substance.

Ghostbusters.

About half an hour in, Simon gave me the biggest fright of my life.

"Hey!"

I literally levitated off the bed, landing on the hard floor with a thump.

"Jesus Si!" I cried, scrambling back to my feet. I thought I was home alone, and I thought Simon was on a date with Renee.

"Are you usually this excited to see me?" Simon chuckled, sitting down on my bed.

"Usually you don't scare me like that!" I responded, shaking my head at Simon. He was smirking at me.

"Shouldn't you be filming a video?" He asked as I sat back down next to him, re focusing on my movie.

"Shouldn't you be with Renee?" I couldn't stop myself. My eyes widened, and I blushed as I realized how snarky I sounded.

"I like to talk to girls who aren't leeching onto me 24/7." Simon replied with a shrug. Did that mean they were off? Also, I felt like "leeching" was a bit of a understatement.

"Plus, she wasn't into FIFA." He added with a sigh.

"Hard luck." I mumbled, unsure of what to say. I didn't want to give away any of my feelings.

"What are you watching?" Simon asked, settling down onto his stomach. Holy moly it looked like he wanted to stay.

"Ghost busters." I replied, cautiously lying down next to Simon. Holy cow was I really this close to him again? I propped my chin on my hands, trying to play it cool. Could he hear my impossibly loud heart beat? Being this close to him was driving my hormones into overdrive.

"Someone still leaving you these?" Simon suddenly asked, voice loud over the playing film.

"Huh?" I asked, distracted by his closeness. The familiar scent of citrus and oak swirled around him, overloading my senses as he leaned closer to me to gently pick up the latest daisy from my pillow.

"Has anyone owned up to it yet?" Simon asked, twirling the daisy between his long fingers.

"Uh, n-n-no, I've asked everyone but no ones saying." I stuttered, unable to tear my eyes away from Simon.

"You could have a stalker."

"I really hope not." I said with a shiver. The thought of a stranger sneaking into my room when I was asleep made me feel uneasy. I had always thought the flowers had come from one of the boys. Never had it crossed my mind that it could be a stranger.
