"Are you really Jeon Jungkook?" Yeri mustered to speak. How common was the name and what are the chances that there could be talent scouts with the same name.

"Yes, it is." He said, paying a little more attention to Yeri. "And what is your name?"

"Yeri." She said softly, trying to be wary about who she told her name to.

The man stood in front of her, and then suddenly his eyes went big. "Are you-,"

"Yes." Yeri said, cutting him off before he announced to the whole café who she was. "I would like to keep that a secret, if you could do that for me."

Jungkook immediately nodded. He suddenly smiled brightly. "So I guess I got to meet you after all."

"I suppose." Yeri looked at the ground and kicked her foot around.

"So what do you think about my offer?" Jungkook eyebrows went up.

"I can't believe we are actually doing this." Koeun gripped Yeri's hand even harder than before.

The two were seated outside the office at Jellyfish's main headquarters. Yeri could feel Koeun's hand heating up and causing sweat to add a lining to their hands.

"I think we deserve this." Yeri said. "It wasn't fair that we weren't added to that girl group, and you know it." Yeri stated, referring to SM not adding them to Red Velvet.

Koeun sighed and shrugged. "I just wonder what will happen to us. We haven't been training for 5 years now, Yeri."

Yeri was about to say a few words of encouragement but a door opened that silenced their conversation.

"Yeri, Koeun, they are waiting for you." A young woman directed to the pair. Yeri gave her a kind smile, not imagining that the woman was anything but a few years older than herself.

However, whatever peaceful nature that Yeri had in her body was pushed out once she saw the room full of executives. Yeri and Koeun took the only two seats that were open at the long table. The two didn't dare to loosen the tension in their backs.

Finally a woman with glasses smiled at the two. "Kim Yerim and No Hyorin. You two like to go by Yeri and Koeun though, am I right?"

They nodded and gave polite smiles before the woman spoke again. "We have prepared trainee contracts for the two of you." She said and handed the two a packet of 50 pages. "They are both exactly the same and we are open to any issues or changes that you have with the contracts."

"Any changes?" Yeri asked, looking up for a second after glancing at the first page.

The woman nodded and smiled. "You both trained at SM, correct?"

"Yes." Koeun glanced at Yeri. "Yeri trained for 4 years and I trained for 2."

The woman leaned forward on the table. "Listen." She said with a small smile. "We really want you girls to be a part of our company. We are really lenient about the contract with you two because you are high profile girls that came from SM. You two probably already have a fan base, correct?"

Yeri gave her a blank stare. "I'm not too sure anymore. We left SM in 2014. It's been 5 years since we've even trained or been in the spotlight. There's a good chance that there are people who don't care about us anymore."

The woman nodded after she looked at the others at the table. "We understand that. But we also understand that you are ahead of our other trainees here. Many of our trainees were casted fairly recently and we are only making a new girl group, wanting to debut extremely soon."

"So what does that have to do with us?" Koeun asked.

She smiled again. "Well we are interested in putting you girls in the group that will debut in two months."

The girls were silent. They wanted to debut them in two months? Were they kidding?

Yeri was the first to speak up. "I'm not sure if that will work for us."

The woman's eyebrows furrowed. "Why not? I was understanding that you only left SM due to the fact that they didn't debut you both."

Yeri agreed. "Yes, but we haven't been training for 5 years. How is it fair if the others have been training with you for a long amount of time and we can simply walk in and debut?"

"No offence, but you haven't seen us train yet." Koeun stated. "Please let us prove ourselves to be able to debut first. Don't expect too much out of us."

The woman licked her lips. "We understand your concerns girls, but we have notes from Mr. Jeon, from when he scouted the two of you." She said, straightening a few papers in front of her. "He says that he heard Koeun's voice and he believes that she could be the main vocal in the group." She looked straight at Yeri. "And Yeri, your visuals are more than perfect to be added to the group."

Yeri's spirit was jabbed at once she heard that. So Yeri knew why she was scouted. She was simply a filler member with a pretty face.

Yeri cleared her throat. "Thank you for the offer. We will go over the contracts with our lawyer and we will get back to you tonight."

Yeri stood and the woman stood right after. "You don't want to just go over them now?"

Koeun took Yeri's lead and stood also. "No, we just want to make sure that we are making a good choice about the contracts. We don't want to make the same mistake that we made with SM."

"Thank you again." Yeri and Koeun both bowed. Yeri couldn't help but notice that the woman was a bit shocked about how they quickly wrapped up their session.

Yeri and Koeun walked quickly out of the Jellyfish building. Yeri didn't speak until they were walking on the street, back to their apartment.

"Did you hear them?" She practically screamed. "They only want me for my face."

"Yeri-," Koeun tried calming her down but Yeri was too angry.

"That was a joke, Koeun, a joke!" She screamed. "I mean, they could've just told me that they would take any person who has two left feet as long as they can have my face."

"Yeri, they don't know what you can do." Koeun stopped Yeri from her speed walking. "You need to go in there and prove yourself to them. Don't let them think that you are a filler member."

Yeri stared at Koeun. She let out a sigh and nodded. "I will."

Koeun smiled and threaded her arm with Yeri's and they continued to walk. "So, when are we gonna sign these contracts?"
