Things had been the definition of slow for Yeri. Ever since the news about Yeri dating a normal citizen, she had taken a brake from public appearances. Yeri was more thankful than she was ever before. She wanted nothing more but to take a break from things. She took this break as an excuse to get more practicing time than usual in. She worked with Koeun more with her dancing skills and Yeri tried her best to improve her singing.

The day before Yeri's 21st birthday, she asked Koeun if she wanted to know about her future for the day. Koeun nodded and sat next to Yeri on the practice room floor.

Yeri grabbed Koeun's hands and closed her eyes. Yeri never had to say anything to Koeun when it was time to see her future. Koeun and Yeri had done the same exercise countless times before that Koeun could do this in her sleep.

Koeun closed her own eyes and thought about the day's events so far. This was when Yeri picked up on the rest. Yeri could actually see the something this time.

Yeri saw herself leave the practice room and Koeun stay. Not too long after Yeri left, a man and woman walk into the room and asked to see Koeun. They talked to her something serious and Yeri could hear their voices. That was something unusual, but still happened from time to time. The man told Koeun that she would be on We Got Married, as a part of the newest couple.

Yeri excitedly opened her eyes and smiled brightly. Koeun finally opened her own eyes and looked as Yeri confused as to why she was so excited. "What is it?"

Yeri acted like she zipped her lips up and threw away the key. "I'm gonna let you figure out for yourself."

Koeun looked at Yeri with annoyance and shook her head. She was about to tell Yeri something but Yeri got a phone call. She expected to see Jungkook's contact information, but to her own excitement, it was her mother.

"Hello?" Yeri answered excitedly.

"Yeri!" Her mom said brightly.

"Mom, how are you?" Yeri asked quickly.

"I'm good. I was actually wondering if you could come over to the house today since tomorrow is your birthday." Her mom asked slowly.

Yeri nodded quickly. "Of course. I'm not doing much so I will come over right now."

"Okay, honey. Take your time alright?" Her mom said.

"Alright, I will see you soon." Yeri quickly ended the call and leaped off of the floor. "Well, Miss Koeun, the first part of my vision seems to be correct."

As Yeri exited the practice room, she couldn't help but think that her slump had finally passed her without much of a fight.

Yeri and her mother giggled for what seemed like the hundredth time. As Yeri's mom wiped a tear from her eye, she looked at Yeri with love. "Yeri, I am so glad that you could come to see me."

"Of course mom." Yeri smiled at her and placed a hand over her mother's.

Yeri's mom suddenly started pulling her hand away. "There is actually something that I wanted to tell you about."

"What is it?"

The older woman sighed. "Yeri, I know that you are probably having issues with your visions right now."

Yeri's eyebrows crinkled. "How did you know?"

She sighed once more. "It's because I used to have visions just like you."

Yeri looked at her mother with astonishment. She never told her anything like this. "What?"

The mother nodded mournfully. "I never told you because I knew that you were probably curious as to why I don't see anything anymore."

Yeri nodded. That was exactly what she was curious about.

"Well, to tell you the truth, this gift has been passed down for a long time. Your grandmother and her mother had this gift. However, when they turned 21, it went away." The mother explained slowly.

"Why does it go away?" Yeri asked, barely comprehending what she even said.

Her mother shrugged. "There's no rhyme or reason as to why it happens. That's all we know it that it eventually goes away."

"I just don't understand why you never told me." Yeri looked at her lap, the statement finally growing a deeper notch in her head.

"I wanted you to not live your whole life thinking about how this amazing this is dispensable." Her mother explained.

"So, by tomorrow, I won't be able to see the future?" Yeri asked.

Her mother nodded. "That is true."

"How does that even make sense?" Yeri asked, leaping to her feet. "I just made a prediction today and it was correct. This might not be going away."

Her mother got onto her own feet and rubbed Yeri's arm. "I know this is hard to digest."

Yeri couldn't do anything but hug her mother and cry into her chest.

--

As Yeri was sitting on the bus on the way back to the dorms, she received a call from Koeun. She was thankful that Koeun's call brought her back to reality, since she would've missed her bus stop if she would've been kept with her thoughts.

"Hello?" Yeri's voice slightly cracked as she answered the phone.

"So why didn't you tell me that Mina would be on We Got Married?" Koeun asked.

Yeri's head started throbbing. It wasn't what she saw at all, but it must've explained how her last vision still had many holes in it.

"I mean, you could've told me that, since it has to deal with Mina and not me. I don't understand why you just didn't tell me." Koeun explained.

Yeri's growing headache made her get lightheaded. Yeri couldn't think about anything and her head fell back. The last things that she heard was Koeun's frantic calls as to why she never answered her.
