Klaus was so different from what I imagined him to be. He was so sweet and funny. I sat on the couch in my black night gown sketching while Klaus changed. I sketched his kind face and started to create a background. I was so focused on sketching I barely noticed Klaus walk out of the washroom and approach me from behind.

"Well you definately pay attention to detail eh love?" I jumped at the sound of his voice pinning him against the wall and baring my fangs. When I realized it was Nik I backed off blushing. "Sorry I'm still not used to having someone else here." I said trying to avoid looking at him. Not just because he had no shirt on and he was ripped but because I was so embaressed by how isolated I really was from the rest of the world.

He laughed lightly. "Love it's alright. I'm glad you are capable of defending yourself." He said smiling as he reached his hand up and caressed my cheek. We both pulled away. He looked just as confused by his actions as I was. I exhaled not realizing I was holding my breath. I suddenly giggled at Nik's odd expression causing him to smile at me.

I felt an odd sensation then felt images flash before my eyes. I closed my eyes.

I sat at a dinner table. "I was hoping we could come to some sort of agreement." My father said. "Yes. However since your wife seems to have died your daughter shall marry one of my sons." The other man said angrily. "Elijah!" He called. A young man entered the room. "Who do you think of your brothers should marry this young women." He asked pointing at me. "I think anyone would be honoured..." I stopped paying attention to him when I noticed Klaus standing at the door way. He noticed me and stepped back awkwardly blushing. I giggled. He smiled at me and looked away then looked back at me eyes slightly scared.

"Niklaus! Get out of here you swine!" The man said. "Leave him alone you bastard!" I clamped my hand over my mouth my eyes widening at my words. My father seemed surprised as well by my reaction."It seems as if Klaus has favour with her." Elijah said a hint of sadness in his voice. I glanced at him giving him a concerned look. The man at the head of the table grew angry. "That filthy child cannot marry....that! It's bad blood!" I looked away blinking back tears. That? I'm only a witch. I'm not some monster. "Father! She is a power ful witch and Niklaus is gifted they will have many childred." Elijah said making me shiver in fear of my wedding night. "Gifted? He is an abomination! But if it will cause him to leave then so be it Niklaus you shall marry Alice!"

"It's alright love!" I snapped back to reality. I smiled softly as he flipped through my sketch book. "You're very good." He said looking at a sketch I had done of a sunset in Louisianna. "Thank you." I said blushing lightly. He had this strange effect on me. I felt butterflies and my heart was almost ready to jump out of my chest. I had never really felt like this before.

"Love who's this?" He asked holding up a picture of Elijah. Elijah was the man who taught me to be a decent vampire. Elijah...like that strange vision. Maybe he knows something about Niklaus and I. "Oh my friend Elijah. He helped teach me to control the beast inside me." I wonder where he is now? Klaus looked shocked but remained silent. "Klaus what's wrong?" I asked gently touching his arm.

He looked at me and smiled. "Elijah is my brother." He said. "Ah. Oh...." I was a little taken aback. Elijah never said he had siblings. "He is the more...patient and moral of the three of us. While my sister Rebeka is stubborn." I chuckled. "And what are you Nik?" He smiled at the use of his name. "I don't accept failure." I nodded. "A perfectionist." He raised an eyebrow. "You want everything perfect and when it can't be because of someone else's incompitence you get angry and.....deal with the situation." I said nervously. He nodded solemly.

"I will call Elijah to New Orleans if you'd like." Nik said which made me smile unintentionally. "Yes please! It's been years since I'd seen him last!" I said excitedly. Klaus smiled excusing himself to make a call. Moments later he returned to find me sketching again.

"Well what about you?" He asked trying to stop the odd silence. "What's your greatest quality?" I thought for a moment. "My empathy." He seemed slightly surprised by that. "It acts as my sword and sheild fueling my determination and will to fight or defend those I care about." I said smiling at Klaus.

"Well then love. We'll just have to see how well you can fight." He pinned me to the wall baring his fangs. I threw him off me and I stradelled him. He flipped up over so my legs were wrapped around his waist as I dodged hits he threw at me. I then flipped him over pinning him there tightly. I could feel his hot breathe on my neck as I calmed my breathing. Then I stood up and dusted myself off helping Nik up. "Very good." He seemed quite impressed by my performance.

"When you're an outsider like I am in a big town like New Orleans you have to learn to survive." I stated simply shrugging as I closed the doors to the balcony and the curtains. "Well I guess we're similar in that sense. When backed into a wall you fight." I chuckled. That about sums me up.

"So do you sketch too?" He nodded dusting himself off. "I very much enjoy painting, drawing, music and I have a but of a soft spot for opera." I laughed at that as I locked the doors that led to the balcony.

"Your not what I expected Klaus." He raised an eyebrow at me. "I imagined you to be cruel and cold but youre so warm and kind." I said tocking my head. Our eyes locked for a moment. "It feels like we've known each other for forever." I said in a puzzled tone. "It's strange to say but I agree." He said nodding. "It's like I know you from somewhere." I said trying to think.

A strand of hair fell in my face as I ran my fingers through it. Before I could move it was pushed out of my eyes. I looked up into Klaus' eyes. He was much closer than before causing my breathe to hitch. This close proximatey made my heart race and my palms become clamy. We stared at each other for a few moments until he suddenly yawned. I smiled and chuckled lightly. "Go get some rest." I said taking my notepad from his hand. It had been a long day. We both said goodnight and went to our own rooms.

I sat down on my bed and sighed. That vision couldn't have been about Klaus and I could it? I mean I was turned in 1763...but that girl looked just like me. It's like I was turned then. How is that possible? It looked like the 1400s! How? Who? What? When? Where? Why? More importantly did Klaus see it too? That's impossible...right? Hopefully Elijah will have more answers.
