"You look raveshing love." Klaus said smiling at me as he tied John's bow tie after putting his own tuxedo on. I looked at myself in the mirror. Red strapless dress with a sweet heart neck line that flowed down to my feet hugging my curves perfectly complimented by a silver and sapphire necklace Nik had given me and a diamond braclette. My red hair was in loose curls as my eyes were highlighted with black liquid eyeliner and mascara and my lips with red lipstick.

I smiled softly at Klaus as I turned and helped him get John dressed. Elijah had decided to have a dinner instead of a ball. The fewer people who knew our son the better. I adjusted my son's bow reminding him to be kind to the people he met and to be poliet always answering properly. My son nodded understanding I was only worried about it.

I felt Nik wrap his arm around my waist supportively as he led both of us down the grand staircase. Kol, Finn, Rebekah and Elijah stood staring in awe at their brother. "Well Niklaus it's about time you found someone who can actually put up with you." Finn said smiling. He kissed my hand and hugged John before shaking his brother's hand.

"Why don't we all go to the dinning room and begin the evening?" Elijah asked rather nervously. "I agree Elijah." I said giving him a kind smile as I looped arms with Rebekah. "Is Elijah alright Bekah?" I asked admiring her beautifu green gown almost identical to my own with an exception of the laced sleeves it had.

"Yes he's fine."  She said in a very unconvincing tone. I raised an eyebrow. "He's just worried about how this night will end. It normally ends with someone daggered in a coffin." I nodded. "Reason to be worried." I said earning a laugh from the blonde vampire.

“So Alice it’s good to see you again.” Finn said smiling at me. Finn. I had never liked his unwavering trust he had in his mother and her magic. “And you.” I said helping John get seated next to Klaus with me on the other side of Nik. Rebekah sat beside John while Elijah took the seat to my right. Finn sat next to Rebekah and Kol next to Elijah.

“So why so cold Alice?” Kol asked me smirking. “Considering the last time I saw you, you wanted my fiancée and your brother dead I’m not very trusting in your self control and honestly don’t have much faith in you.” I stated simply as I smiled at the women who set a salad down in front of me. “Thank you.” I said to the women as she started to serve the others.

“And why is it that you hate me Alice? I always saw you as the compassionate one.” Finn asked staring at me icily. “You hate the existence of my child. It’s written all over your face. You know John is stronger than any of us and you fear the day he realizes it. You’re afraid he’ll become a blood thirsty killer like Niklaus did but he won’t. Not as long as I have a say in it.” I said my eyes becoming stormy and dark as I glared at Finn.

“You’re as foolish as our sister.” Kol said laughing. “Your child is a monster and he always will be.” I clentched my fists angrily. “If you ever say that again Kol I will kill you. My son is the strongest out of all of you and not in physical strength but emotionally. He will live far longer than you could ever dream Kol.” I growled causing Kol’s eyes to darken and veins to grow around his eyes. He started to stand.

“Let’s test that shall we?” I flicked my wrist and Kol was seated again and his eyes were back to normal. “Do not threaten that child in it’s own home Kol. His mother will kill before his father get’s the chance.” Elijah said smiling as he finished his salad.

“He’s right Kol. Alice is more blood thirsty than I am when it comes to our son.” Klaus said resting his hand on top of mine. I smiled at him as I ate noticing my son’s silence. He had probably been hurt by Kol’s foul words.

As the meal continued we all made small talk but you could cut the tension in the air with a knife. It got to a point when Nik decided to skip straight to desert sensing his family’s discomfort. “If that’s all for the evening then I’d like to retire.” Finn said standing up. “In this house? No.” I stated bluntly. Klaus looked at me. John is terrified of Kol and Finn. We can’t let them stay. Klaus nodded and looked at his brother’s sternly.

“There is a nice hotel in town I hope you have a nice stay there because I’m sorry to say but I refuse to let you stay in this house. Not after what you said about my son.” Klaus said his eyes glowing gold as Kol opened his mouth to retort. Kol shut his mouth immediately before standing.

I walked over to my son who had barely touched his food. “C’mon baby let’s get you cleaned up.” I said smiling kindly as I lifted the boy up in my arms kissing his forehead sweetly. Finn glared at me so I handed John to Rebekah. “I’ll take him upstairs.” She said worried about the fight she knew was about to happen. “Thank you Bekah.” I said as I watched her walk upstairs.

I turned to Finn my eyes glowing slightly as the flames of the candles in the room flared up. “If you threaten my son, you threaten me.” I said as I stalked towards him. “If you lay a hand on him or have anything to do with any harm that may come to my son….both of you,” I said glancing at Kol who’s eyes were wide in shock. “I will kill you in a heart beat.”

Finn’s knuckles turned white as he started to tremble in anger. “I swear to you I will not harm that child. I’m offended you’d even think I would.” He said in a slightly hurt tone. “ I scoffed. “With the looks you keep giving John I wouldn’t put it past you.” I said coldly as I calmed down the flames of the candles dulling to their regular light. “I wasn’t hateful towards him but towards what Niklaus has. He’s done nothing but kill and hunt his entire life yet he ends up happy while I’ve spent a majority of two decades daggered in a coffin.” Finn said with a sad smile.

“Well you’re free now so find your own happiness Finn.” I said hugging the original brother.

“Good bye Kol, Finn.” I said kindly as I led them to the door where Niklaus and Elijah already waited talking quietly. Oh no. That normally means that there’s a problem…and a big one. After the younger brothers left I turned to the two men.

“What’s wrong?” I asked concern lacing my voice. “We think-“ There was a knock at the door. I stood closest to it so I walked towards it. “Who in the world would be coming over at this hour?” I asked looking at the clock which read five minutes to midnight.

I swung the door open ready to yell when my entire body froze. “Alice!” Klaus stood in front of my pushing me back as my eyes were fixated on the man who stood before me. “Hello Alice. It’s been a long time.” I willed myself to speak as shock over took my body. “Yes it has been a while…Michael.”
