It was dark. It was so cold. It was damp. I could hear someone calling out to me. "Alice! Alice!" It was a man but I didn't know who. I heard yelling and then it stopped. I felt energy surge through me a few times but it receeded as if wasn't enough to bring me out of this dark stupor.

Suddenly I felt a huge burst of energy. I felt ready to break free but someone grabbed my arm pulling my back. I turned to see my mother staring at me darkly. "What are you doing child? That thing can never make you happy." She hissed. "Niklaus must die!" Chains wrapped themselves around me holding me in place.

Then it all came back to me. Klaus, Rebeka, Elijah, the fight, the curse, my death. "No! You are wrong! Klaus is the only thing that makes me happy!" I yelled wripping free. "Klaus understands me and loves me even with all my flaws." I said the chains that bound me breaking.

"He can never love! He's a mindless beast!" My mother said yet again wrapping one chain around me locking it tightly. "Now you can watch while he suffers and dies while you fight to get back to him." I fought the chain but it only burnt my skin. "You were never ment to be dear. I'm sorry but it's true. You were wrong." My mother said sadness in her voice.

"No! You were wrong! Love has no bounds and this chain will rust and I will live once more to stay with Klaus forever!" I said causing my mother to be thrown back into the abyss of nothing.

I pulled at the chain and ripped at it till my finger felt raw and hurt. I could hear my mother screaming for help but I didn't even give her a second thought until I felt the temperature drop. I turned to see the face of Michael Klaus' father. "You should really listen to your mother." He said evilly. "She knows what she's talking about." I felt pain sear my back making me scream in pain.

"I will never give up on Klaus! Ever!" I spat back angrily. He raised the whip he held hitting me until I was bleeding and crying from the merciless torture. I was trembling in pain.

"I am n-never g-giving up on Klaus. I'm not leaving him!" I said. That's when the chain crumbled and Michael was thrown back after being shot in the shoulder with an arrow.

I turned to see my brother standing before me. John stood there his twenty one year old self reloading an arrow into his cross bow."Run Alice! Run into the light! I'm not watching my baby sister suffer here when she belongs up with the living." He said.

He kissed my cheek and ran with me to the edge of the light but I stopped. "Come with me!" I begged. He simply shook his head. "I belong here sister." He nudged me forward. Suddenly he was pulled back into the abyss by Michael. "Go!" He yelled. I closed my eyes taking a deep breathe before I ran straight into the light.

I opened my eyes to see I was in my room. Klaus lay asleep next to me and it was dark outside still. I smiled softly and stradelled Klaus. "Wake up Klaus." I whisperd softly. He didn't move. The only thing that stopped me from believing he had died too was his chest which gently rose and fell.

"Klaus." I whispered again. He stired slightly. I thought for a moment then smiled. I gently kissed him. He smiled into the kiss and wrapped his arms around me. Suddenly his eye flashed open and he pinned me to the bed. "Who are you?" He asked rage in his voice. I turned the light on and he gasped. "Your girlfriend you bloody idiot." I said immitating his British accent.

He smiled then frowned. "How are you alive? We checked you. You- you were dead." He said confused. "I was only dead because my mother's spirit held in a semi dead state. But I broke free with a little help from my brother." Klaus smiled broadly shaking his head.  "I don't care. You're alive." He said smiling.

"What time is it?" I asked suddenly. "11:45pm." Klaus said. I shot out of bed. "The dagger where is it?" Klaus seemed to realize that the curse still needed to be broken and nodded.

"Get to the river I'll get the dagger." He said. I reached the river and looked at my watch. 5 minutes to break the curse. Klaus arrived with Rebeka and Elijah who hugged me tightly. "I'll explain later! Just do it!" I said laying down on the altar. I closed my eyes as I felt the dagger peirce my skin and allowed my breathing stop.

**********

She was alive! Alice was alive! I could barely believe it as I grabbed the dagger and called Rebeka and Elijah. I ran to the clearing by the river to see Alice sitting on the altar. She quickly hugged both my siblings and said she'd explain later. She lay down and I stabbed the dagger into her  heart closing my eyes.

She had definately changed me. I never feared watching people die no matter who they were. Yet watching her die caused me to break. Rebeka and Elijah were right when they said that she had changed me and caused me to find happiness all in one.

I gently removed the dagger watching as blood stained her top. I couldnt help remembering how Alice would always clean me up when I got bloody after fighting. I looked down at myself and smiled. She would have to do that tonight since I was still bloody from killing that werewolf.

I waited for my sleeping beauty to wake up. One minute. Two minutes. Three minutes. I grew impatient and Rebeka seemed to notice. "Oh for God's sake Klaus relax! She's going to be okay!" My little sister said smiling. I gave a small smile.

I watched as the waves crashed against the shore for what felt like hours until finally Alice shot up gasping for breathe. When she calmed down she looked down at her chest to see the wound closing. She relaxed and turned smiling at me. She showed me her wrist. No number counting down to the day. I smiled as

Alice wrapped her arms around Rebeka tightly. Beka was crying out of happinesss. Next Alice hugged Elijah and he whispered something into her ear causing her to smile. "Thank you." She said. He nodded. Then she turned to me. Her eyes full of love. "We'll leave you two alone for tonight. You two could use some alone time." Rebeka said my two siblings walked away.

Alice and I walked home quietly. When we got home I turned to her only to be slapped across the face. I was slightly stunned for a moment not sure what to do. "Never ever do that again!" She said worriedly. "You were going to kill yourself!" I chuckled when I realized that was what Elijah had told her. "Yes love. I was very desperate." I said hugging her tightly. "My little angel had flown away and I didn't think she was coming back." I whispered in her ear.

"Here let's get you all cleaned up." She said sighing. I pulled my jacket and shirt off leaving on my trousers on. Alice returned into the room with a bowl full of warm water and a towel. She had also changed into the black nightgown she wore the night we first met. I smiled and pulled her onto my lap.

She removed the blood from my face then my hands. Finally she cleaned my neck off. She froze when she saw the unhealed wound on my shoulder. "It's nothing love. Just a little white oak." I said. The wound was slowly healing. I watched as she dabbed the wound with the wet cloth and then closed her eyes placing a hand over my wound. Her hand glowed slightly then she pulled away revealing my clean skin. She had healed the wound.

I watched as she set the bowl and cloth down. She kissed me sweetly. "It's all over Klaus." She said. I could hear the smile in her voice. "Good. Then I can finally do this." I flipped Alice so she was pressed against the couch. "By all means go ahead." She said seductively. That's when all hell broke loose. I then lifted  Alice up pinning her against the door to her room with her slender legs wrapped around my waist. I felt my shirt fall to the ground as I quickly pulled her's off. "I love you." I whispered pulling her into me.

That's when I felt small dents on Aly's back. "Alice can I see your back?" I asked. She turned slowly revealing dark slashes across her back. "What happened?" I demanded. "Michael attacked me while I was dead." She said simply. She slowly explained to me how she was attacked by Michael and how her brother saved her while she was in an odd state of death.

I kissed each scar and lifted her up carrying her into the bedroom. I felt her warmth once more. Smelt her vanilla scent. Saw her Sparkling eyes and shiny red curls. I had my angel back. As I loomed over Alice I knew it was going to be the best night of our lives.
