Chapter 43 -A Lover's Request

I woke up to the smell of vanilla. I opened my eyes to see Alice lay fast asleep on my bare chest. I ran my hand up and down her pale sides and up her back then played with strands of her hair. "Someone's up early." She mumbled her eyes fluttering open. "I'm surprised because we didn't fall asleep till the wee hours of the morning." She tried to sit up but I stopped her. "Rest love. You need sleep." She shook her head. "I need a shower." She said wrapping the blanket around herself while I pulled on my underclothes and pants. 

I watched as Alice disappeared into the washroom. My wolf was still howling for his mate. I shook my head of the filthy thoughts that all ended with Alice lying on her back on that bed within a few minutes. I ran my fingers through my hair and quickly got dressed. Ever since she got back my emotions have been in over drive and all I've wanted is to be near her, to touch her and hold her. I just wanted to make sure she was still there. She's still mine and last night proved it. 

 I started to make the bed when a pair of arms wrapped around me from behind. I smiled as I turned but my smile didn't last for long. I scanned Alice's body and I had to fight every nerve in my body. She was wearing one of my white dress shirts and a pair of black skinny jeans. The sleeves of the shirt were rolled up and the buttons were undone till just above her black lace bra that was slightly visible. 

I growled and pinned her to the wall. "Nik? Seriously?" Alice groaned as I kissed her neck. "Well love if you're going to dress like that in front of me after what we just did, then I think you should expect it by now." I mumbled against her skin. I found my back pressed against the bed as I stared up at Alice. Fangs bared, eyes dark and hand pushing my head back so it was pinned against the bed.

 I ran my fingers through her red hair smiling up at her. "I love you." I mumbled brushing a few droplettes of water on her neck. "I love you too." There was a knock at the door which made me growl in irritation. "Niklaus?" Alice started to move when I pulled her down so she lay on my chest. "Come in." Jessebella walked in her eyes glaring at Alice. "Elijah says that he wants to host a ball tonight for the honour of Alice's return." 

 I smiled looking down at the red headed women. "No." She said immidiately. "What's wrong love? Scared you'll dazzle all of our friends away with your beauty." She hit me in the arm. I smiled and brushed my knuckle along her cheek. "You may leave Jessebella. We will have the ball." Jessebella left slamming the door behind her. 

"Well she's jealous." Alice said giving a pained look. "It must be so painful for her seeing us together." She said softly pulling her knees up to her chest as she leaned on me. "How can you care so much Alice?" She shrugged before sitting up. "I just do." I leaned up and kissed her cheek then trailed down her neck with butterfly kisses. She turned to me and smiled placing a hand on my cheek and rubbing the rough serface of my face along my jaw line. 

"I can't believe you're here....now....I got so used to hurting because you were gone so long." I whispered in a fragile and sad tone. She stradelled me and I sat up so I was face to face with her. "I will never leave you again." She said holding my face in her hands. The sadness that cloaked her grey eyes made my heart ache. "Trust me when I say that it hurt me more than you could ever imagine." She said resting her forehead against mine. 

Her eyes closed hiding her emotions as a stray tear rolled down her cheek. I used my thumb to wipe away her tear and kissed her. Alice wrapped her arms around my neck as I pulled her closer to me by the waist. I gripped her hand as she ran her hand up my arm.

I felt her slide her hand up the back of my shirt. I pulled it off myself then kissing her again and unbuttoning the shirt she was wearing. My lips trailed from her lips to her neck and finally to her chest. I pushed the shirt off of her shoulders and ran my hand up her arm to the back of her neck as I kissed her body.

I flipped her over my hand resting on her hip while my body pressed against her's. I buried my face in her neck and she tipped her head back when there was another knock at the door. I ignored it and continued to kiss my lover's neck.

"Nik." She mumbled lifting my head up so I could see her raised eyebrow. "No." I said kicking her leg over so I was hovering over her. "But I can hear Elijah sighing impatiently. C'mon cut the guy some slack he-" I cut her off by kissing her. I started to kiss down to her stomach when I heard the creak of the door. "Niklaus I know you heard the door and for the sake of Alice's dignity I am covering my eyes so she can get dressed."

I sighed as I was pushed off by Alice and she pulled on her shirt buttoning up to the same point she had when she walked out of the washroom. "No love. Not that low." I said glaring at her as I buttoned up her shirt a few more buttons. She raised an eyebrow at me smirking as she bit her lip. "Don't" I warned knowing she was doing that in attempt to tease me.

"Are you sure you want to introduce your fiancee and child to our family?" Elijah asked ignoring the lustful looks I gave Alice. "Yes. They both will be able to handle it." Alice said answering for me as she wrapped her arms around me from behind resting her head on my shoulder.

"Love...." She nodded smiling up at me planting a kiss on my cheek.  Elijah nodded smiling. "Finn and Kol will be called." "Kol is alive!" Alice asked in shock. "My family is rather hard to kill if you havent already noticed Alice." Elijah said making Alice chuckled. I nodded and waited until my brother left closing the door after him. 

"You're sure you're ready for this?" I asked whispering against her ear. "yes." She breathed. "Good. Now where were  we?" I asked smirking as my lover swiftly shoved me onto the bed. She lunged at me but I was faster pinning her to the wall and smirking at her glare. "Sorry love but I like to be in well...a place of authority." I said as I finished what we had started the night before. 

But as Niklaus bedded down with his fiancee Michael stood glaring down at his bastard son who was currently enjoying the life that Michael swore he'd destroy. "I think it's time for you to meet your end Niklaus." Michael whispered before leaving the mansion's land and walking back into town.
