I woke up the next morning thinking about Klaus. I smiled as I thought of his kind smile and witty jokes. My stomach fluttered at the thought of the visions and his effectionate nature towards me. He was so sweet. I pulled out a pair of jeans, puffy light blue long sleeve top and brown belt to wear. Klaus. He was kind, strong, smart and even kind of funny. He had done some horrible things but I had met people who were far worse than Klaus. Vampires especially, who killed because it was fun. Who tortured and killed humans just for sport. They were real monsters.

I stepped out of my bedroom to see Elijah sitting on the couch across from Klaus talking. "Elijah!" I ran over to him hugging him tightly. Elijah looked thrilled to see me as he enveloped me in a bear hug lifting me off of my feet. "So how have you been?" I asked Elijah as I sat down beside him. "Good. Good." He said eye shining with joy. "And you?" I chuckled. "Busy surviving and not completely slaughtering half the town." I earning a playful hit in the arm from Elijah.

"So Elijah what do you know about Alice and I? Our past?" Klaus asked seriously. Straight to the point I see. I turned so I faced Elijah more preparing myself for a long story. "Can we at least talk about this over tea?" Elijah asked sighing. "It's a long story." I nodded and calmly got up.

I made tea and listened to Klaus and Elijah talk. "Alice has changed so much since I last saw her. She's so mature and strong. She reminds me of you." Elijah said. "Maybe that's why you two get along so well?" Klaus was silent for a moment then spoke. "I think you're right. I might be....." Their voices got so low that I couldn't hear him. I sighed and picked up the tray walking into the living room.

When everyone had a cup and a scone Elijah started to speak. "It started in 1420 when Klaus first met you Alice." He said smiling fondly. "You two met when he found you singing in the woods. Your family had just moved into our village. You had one brother, a mother and father. Our families got along well and we were prosperious until your mother suddenly fell ill. She was sick in bed for months. Being one of the strongest witches alive no one wanted her to die, so our mother tried everything to save her but couldn't do it because of your mother's weak state. When your mother died your father became harsh and cold to everyone outside of our families. You found refuge in coming to our house and speaking with our little sister or playing with us. Having recieved similar harsh treatment from your mother, you became particularly close to Klaus because he was so different like you. You were a pureblood witch and he was a pureblood werewolf." Elijah paused for a moment and sighed.

"Our fathers believed it was for the best if our two families joined together in marriage and so you two were to be married." He stopped to sip his tea. "But we didn't get married....did we?" I asked tocking my head to the side. "No. A month before the marriage your brother was murdered by a werewolf one full moon. You and Klaus only grew closer and started to fall for each other. You're mother never truly approved of Niklaus so to you falling for him was a sin but you were willing to got to hell if it meant being with him." Elijah chuckled. I blushed as Klaus gave me a side glance.

"In secret our father turned Klaus, Rebeka and I as well as our two other siblings Finn and Kol into vampires in attempt to continue his legacy. The day before your wedding Michael our father discovered that Klaus was not his son and went on a rampage in the village killing everyone except you, our siblings and us. You fled the village that night and I never saw you again until about 200 years later I found you crying in an alley because you needed human blood to finish the process of you becoming a vampire." He finished. He looked up staring intently at Nik and I.

"I'm sorry but that's all I know." He said in a sorrowful tone. "It's fine Elijah. I understand." I looked at Klaus puzzled. "So magic kept me from aging for all these years? No. That's not possible unless it was a curse...." I froze. How didn't I see it sooner? It was so clear now. I ran into my room and came back out holding my spell book. I set it down on the table with a thud. I quickly unlocked the book with a flick of my wrist. I opened it and flipped through the pages hurriedly.

"Here!" I exclaimed. "The Kasaraga Curse." Klaus knelt down beside me. "The curse was used on those who were involved in a forbidden form of love like a sort of form of justice. This curse is said to cause the one cursed to live for long periods of time and..." I stopped reading. "Love?" I looked at Klaus wide eyed. "Once the cursed one meets their lover once more they have a month to live before the very one they love will take their life." I stopped reading and closed my eyes.

"The curse states that you will kill Alice." Elijah said staring at Niklaus in shock. "Never would I ever do that!" Nik said angrily bringing his fist down harshly on the table causing a dent to form. "Niklaus." "I would never ever hurt Alice in any way!" He continued to rant. "Niklaus." Elijah glanced at me as Niklaus spoke of how he would kill the person responsible for the curse.

"Niklaus!" I yelled drawing his attention to me. "You don't have a choice. The magic will force you to kill me consuming you leaving you with the memories." Nik stared at me concerned. "It is intended to drive the living person mad so much so that they would commit suicide in attempt to end the torture. Whoever cursed us wanted both of us to die for our treachery." We were all silent.

"It's black magic." Elijah said. "Isn't it." I nodded looking down at the curse. "Why does that matter?" Nik asked his lack of concern but clear rage was obvious to anyone who knew him. "Because black magic is the dark arts. It twists everything, anyone and anything it touches. It can change Elijah to a vicious killer and you to an obedient lamb in a instant while distorting the user of the magic into someone far different from what they were." I explained my shoulders slumping as I sat back on my ankles.

"When did you meet her?" Elijah asked urgently trying to figure out a timeline no doubt. "A day ago." Klaus said as I buried my head in my hands pulling my knees up to my chest. "So you have twenty eight days to the dead line to break the curse is on....August 10th." Elijah said concern laced his voice. I have twenty eight days to live unless I can find a way to break this curse. "We will find a way." Klaus said as I put my spell book away. I walked back out and sat in between the two brothers. "We have to find a way. If we dont one of us is going to die."
