I got home I started frantically searching through my wardrobe. "Relax Alice." I turned to see Rebeka at my door. "I'll pick out something my brother would like while you shower." I nodded and rushed into shower. I swiftly scrubbing my body clean and thoroughly washed my hair of any blood or grim. I then used magic to dry my hair before wrapping my body in a towel.
I stepped out of the washroom and into my own room. Thank fully my hair is naturally curly so I didn't need to do it. I found a nice white backless dress that ended at my knees and my white wedges waiting for me at the foot of my bed. I smiled and pulled the dress on.
"You can wear this." Rebeka said handing me my silver charm braclette. I quickly applied a little mascara and a light shade of red lipstick on my lips. "You look brilliant!" Rebeka said excitedly as I turned so she got a full view of my appearance.
There was a knock at my door so I nervously tugged at a strand of my hair before I walked over to it. I opened my room door to see Klaus standing before me. He looked amazed by my appearance scanning my body a few times which made me blush and lower my eyes feeling self concious. When he recovered Nik invited me to leave with him.
I soon found myself at a nice restaurant sitting opposite Klaus. We sat down and the waiter smiled and winked at me. I ignored it but it was obvious that Klaus was upset about it. I gripped his hand and he looked at me smiling. "How can someone who seems so evil be so kind hearted and gentle around one girl?" I asked looking Klaus in the eyes. "I don't know. I guess it takes the right girl." He said honestly while smiling and running his thumb over my knuckles. I chuckled at Nikalus' affection and slightly posessive nature.
"Can I try...remembering again?" He asked seriously. I thought for a moment and nodded. He reached out and touched my fingertips lightly. I clamped my hand shut and the object I had been longing to told appeared. Nik noticed I was holding something in the palm of my hand. "What's this love?" He asked gesturing to the metal object I was clutching. "My mother's locket." I said uncurling my fingers so he had a clear view of it. Klaus reached out and touched the locket seeming to recognize it. Images started to flash before my eyes so I closed them gripping Nik's hand tightly.
"Alice you need to hide!" Klaus yelled. "Michael is coming!" I caught his hand before he walked away. I gripped his hand tightly. "Not unless you come with me." I said. "I'll be fine." Klaus said. "But I won't be." He turned to look at me defeated. He helped me into the cellar as the chain on the door broke. He closed the door after me. "Nik!" I screamed. "I came for your precious girlfriend's father." Michael said his voice dripping with venom. I covered my mouth to quiet my gasps for air.
I heard a loud crash, yelling and finally silence. Klaus opened the door to the cellar and I rushed out only to be greeted by a destroyed home and the lifeless body of my father. I started to sob uncontrolably as Niklaus cradelled my shaking body. "It's alright love. I've got you." He whispered into my ear playing with my hair and rubbing my back trying to soothe me.
"Niklaus!" Elijah rushed in with Rebekah and two other men. "Are you alr-" Bekah dropped to her knees in front of me and hugged me. I buried my face in her hair as she did the same. We cried our eyes out allowing the pain and anger to drain away from us. Until sleep took me.
I jerked away from Klaus breathing deeply as I held my hand over my chest. I looked down at my hands which had been covered with my father's blood but moments ago. He looked concerned. "Are you alright love?" He asked as my head snapped up. I nodded calming myself down and regulating my breathing. "Yeah just a little...shocked." I said as the waiter returned with our food.
He placed our food down and flashing me a winning smile which I pretended not to see. Klaus smiled at me as we ate. He seemed so calm about seeing the blood splatered walls and lifeless body. "I've seen it my whole life." He said as if he was reading my mind. I nodded sighing.
"I'm sorry love." He said looking down. "I make everything so dark." I laughed lightly. "Well I always liked playing in the dark." He cracked a smile. "We used to play in the forest at night all the time when we were children according to our visions or memories." He said his eyes sparkling similarly to the way a child's eyes would light up on Christmas morning.
"What ever happened to your parents?" Niklaus sighed loudly. "My mother was killed and buried with my father who was captured and bled to the point where he is in a state of desication." He said glaring at his meal. "Nik what did the meal ever do to you?" I scolded playfully. "It existed." I rolled my eyes as his laughter rang out.
We quickly finished our meal and walked home together in a peaceful silence as we watched the sun set. When we finally reached home we discovered that both Rebeka and Elijah were gone. Conveinient. They had left to tend to some buisness and would be back later according to a note on the fridge.
"Well I had a great time tonight Klaus." I said as I walked to my room door. "Well goodnight." I said. "What no kiss?" He asked cheekily. "Oh alright!" I said leaning in. I kissed him sweetly on the lips only to see a series of dark images flash before my eyes. I started to pull away but Nik placed his hands on my hips holding me in place.
I was walking down an empty street. Judging by the date on the news paper stands it was 1763. I could feel someone watching me. All of a sudden my back was pressed againsts the wall. I found a pair of soft lips pressed against mine. I shoved the person off. "What the he-" I couldn't speak before a pair of sharp fangs peirced my neck. I tasted salty blood in my mouth and a sudden sharp pain in my neck.
I woke up gasping for air and looking around hurriedly to ensure my attacker was no longer in the area. I relaxed when I couldn't find him but I suddenly felt this deep hunger. I knew what I needed. I was craving...blood?! I was becoming a vampire!
I pulled out of Nik's grasp covering my mouth in shock. Klaus looked just as surprised as I was. Horror was eminant on his face as I slowly backed away from him. I slammed the door hard as I could leaning my back against the wall and sliding down so I sat on the floor. I felt betrayed and empty. The man I thought was so kind and gentle. The man I was falling for was a lie? Klaus hadn't saved me. Klaus had turned me out of blood lust!
