Working it out

They'd been arguing all week over the smallest things, shouting until either one of them slammed the front door while storming out. Emma couldn't take anymore of this incessant bickering it was driving her crazy.

She returned home one night after storming out to find Killian passed out on the couch, she made her way upstairs to bed as he would probably sleep there the whole night. She got undressed and climbed into bed and fell sound asleep only slightly missing the warmth that Killian used to provide.

She awoke early the next morning, grabbed a bag from under her bed, chucked a few clothes in and made her way downstairs. She grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and began writing out a note for Killian, it said:
Killian, I was hoping it would never come to this but all this arguing is becoming hard to deal with, we even argue around Henry and I do not want him to see it anymore. I'm going to stay with my parents for a while, I hope you understand.
Love Emma x
And with that Emma took one last look at Killian still passed out on the couch and headed out the door.

Killian woke to a quiet house, he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and made his way to the kitchen. He spotted a piece of paper on the kitchen table, he picked it up and began to read it as he sat down. When he finished reading all he could do was grab his jacket and run out the house.

Killian managed to see Emma leaving grannies and ran towards her.
"Emma!" He shouted, he knew she heard him so he sped up and managed to hook her arm and spin her to face him.
"What do you want Killian?" She said quickly unhooking herself from him and looking at him trying not to show the hurt in her eyes.
"I just want you to know I'm sorry and we can work this out" he said placing a hand on her arm.
Emma look up at him with tears in her eyes "I'm sorry Killian I just need some time alone...I'm sorry" she said as she turned away from him as his hand fell from her arm and she walked down the path towards her parents.

Killian made his way back home "we will work this out Emma" he whispered to himself as he walked home alone.
