Thoughts Of The Future

(This is just something I thought would be cute to write about and I hope you enjoy)

It wasn't until Emma had seen Killian with Alexandra that she had thought about starting a family with him, what with Pan, Elsa, the queens of darkness and Hades getting in the way she didn't really have time to think about any of that, until that little moment in Grannies that made her heart flutter.

A couple of days later Killian was fully moved into the new house and they had agreed to baby sit Alex for Thomas and Ashley because they really needed a break. Killian was more than happy to agree to looking after her, he plucked Alex from Ashley's arms and took her into the living room where he poured out all the toys that her parents had provided for her out of their bag. Emma had bid Ashley and Thomas a goodbye and said they could come and get Alex in a few hours.

Emma leaned against the wall and watched Killian and Alex play, Alex wanted to play princesses so of course she placed a small tiara on Killian's head and threw a pink beaded necklace over him.

"Princess Killy!" She exclaimed as she clapped her hands excitedly.

All Emma could do was laugh as she watched them both prance around the living room, which then turned into a full on chase around the house.

"I'm going to get you!" Killian puffed as he was running around the kitchen table.

Alex screamed when Emma caught her and lifted her into the air "gotcha" Emma said as Alex laughed.

"Good catch swan" Killian said out of breath and his crown falling off his head slightly.

Emma placed Alex back down on the floor so she could continue playing with her toys, she noticed Alex yawning and her eyes dropping slightly.

"It seems the little princess is tired out" Killian said and then proceeded to yawn himself.

"Two princesses don't you mean" Emma giggled straightening the tiara on his head.

Killian turned his head and noticed Alex had fallen to the side and was passed out, he walked over and placed her on the couch and covered her with a blanket, then joined Emma in the kitchen.

"You're really good with her you know" Emma said grabbing his hand and guiding them both to the table.

"You think so? I haven't really had much experience with young children... except baelfire" he said as he took a seat next to Emma a silence falling over them.

"Well.. I think you're a natural" she said as she watched him remove the crown and necklace from himself.

He smiled at her "what are you thinking?" He asked.

Emma sighed "look I've been thinking about this for a while and it's totally ok for you to freak out cause I'm just springing it on you-"

She took another deep breath "have you ever thought about having a kid?" She said looking him in the eye.

Killian scooted closer to her and brought his hand to her cheek, stroking it softly "theres nothing I'd love more than to start a family with you swan" he said smiling softly.

The doorbell interrupted their romantic moment and Emma got up to answer it. Thomas and Ashley had come to collect Alex who was still passed out on the couch.

"Wow you really wore her out, was she any trouble?" Asked Ashley.

"None at all, Killian was the one to wear her out" Emma smiled.

She said goodnight to them and she hardly had a chance to shut the door before Killian pushed her against it his lips quickly on hers.

"What do you say we make a start on that family swan?" He asked as he breathed against her neck.

"I say let's go captain" Emma said.

Killian immediately grabbed Emma's hand and they both ran upstairs, for this was the start of something beautiful, exciting and down right terrifying but Emma was ready for it.
