Truth

(This is set during the ending of 6x01 so spoilers, instead of lying to Killian Emma decides to tell the truth)

"And your hand?" He asked her.

"It was just stress" Emma nodded.

"Are you sure that's what it was--Stress?" Killian asked giving her a worried look, he knew something was bugging her, he could see it in her eyes.

Emma leaned over to him but stopped "Killian Jones you are quite the perceptive one" she said as she leaned her forehead against his.

He lifted his hand to her cheek and stroked it softly "you can tell me anything Emma, I'll always be here for you" he said softly.

"Ok but... not here, let's go home instead" Emma grabbed his hand and dragged him out the door of grannies.

They both walked home hand in hand in silence, Killian could feel Emma's hand shaking in his and he gripped it a little harder and gave her a smile.
They reached the white picket fence of their house and walked up to the patio, Emma grabbed her key out of her pocket and tried to unlock the door but her shaking started up again and she was struggling, Killian placed his hand over hers and helped her unlock the door.
They both walked in and sat on their sofa, thoughts of their earlier activities sprung to Emma's mind and she smiled slightly, Killian sat beside her and laced his fingers through hers.

Emma took a deep breath and looked him in the eye "ok so I've been having these tremors or visions playing over in my head so when Hyde mentioned it I went to see him in his cell-"

"You did what?! Emma he could have hurt you or worse..." Killian said with a worried tone.

"Please let me finish, anyway after I talked to him he said to find out what the visions were about I had to follow the red bird and I found it when we were in the woods earlier" she said.

"That's why you wanted to be alone isn't it?" Killian asked.

Emma nodded "I followed it and it took me to a oracle who told me about the visions..." she started to tear up "Killian... im going to die"

His breath caught in his throat and he could feel his eyes start to fill with tears, he let go of her hand and stood up. He rubbed his hand over his face and sighed "how do we stop it?" He asked.

Emma looked down and shook her head "we can't, the oracle said that I can change the path but not the destination"

Killian sat back down and pulled her into his arms and let his tears fall as he buried his face into her hair "seems we can't catch a break love, first darkness then the underworld now this" he sniffed.

Emma looked up at him and wiped his tears with her thumbs "hey... we'll get through this, together I promise" she said and kissed him lightly on the lips.

"I love you Emma Swan, to the end of time and beyond" Killian said as he kissed her back.

"And I love you too and nothing will ever change that" Emma said softly.
