Fake a smile

I walked over to mom while everyone was still distracted by Kate and hugged her tightly, I asked her if she was okay and she nodded and as soon as she did I knew she wasn't.

I pulled her to the bedroom where Cecily and I were going to sleep that night "what's wrong"

"nothing, just seeing Kate so happy, it makes it kinda hard on me knowing that she'll get to watch her baby grow up"

I paused "it's not your fault you weren't ready to raise me"

"I know but I want to have that experience, I want a baby"

my heart sank...a baby?! "If you really want one and you think we're all ready, bring it on." I didn't even realize what I had said until it was out of my mouth.

"Really, I mean I know you could handle a baby if I needed you to but" she paused for a second "what about your father"

I looked at her and smiled "talk to him"

She smiled back at me and stood up "I'll call the others, we're watching Disney movies in the living room apparently"

When we all got comfortable, I was laying with my head in Aidy's lap and my feet on Maya's, Kristen was in the floor letting Maya play with her hair, Amy and Tina were sitting on the end of the couch talking quietly amongst themselves, Bill was flirting with Kristen, Seth was just sitting in the floor staring at Cecily which was sitting in front of Aidy, Kate and Beck were eye-banging each other and mom and dad were in the floor below me whispering back and fourth.

I ended up falling asleep and had an amazing dream, we won the flag and that was about it.
