Two months later

Mom was almost about to hit her third trimester, dad was directing his own movie, Kate found a small apartment for her and Eva to live in, Jack turned eighteen and moved into his own apartment and I was still working. So we were all happy.

At Kate's new house

"Vanessa you're getting huge!"

"Gee thanks Cec, thanks." mom rolled her eyes and continued speaking to Kate. "It's been two months, you need to get back out there. Do it for Eva"

"Yeah seriously Kate, think of the kid." Aidy chimed in.

"I know but, I can't find anyone I really like. They're all super dull and boring"

"Have you tried grinder?" Aidy suggested

"No! What are you stupid?!" I said shoving a baby carrot in my mouth "if they see 'Kate McKinnon' in the name bar thingy they'll definitely like her, I don't want her being used"

"Thanks Liv" she smiled at me and picked Eva up onto her lap.

"She needs another parental figure to look up to Kate" mom raised her eyebrows.

"Vanessa, I don't need your input on parenting" Kate snapped

"Kate!" Cecily stood up to comfort mom and looked at Kate like she was a monster. "What the hell!"

"I-I didn't"

"SHUT UP KATE!" Mom yelled back with tears gushing from her eyes.

"I'm sorry" Kate whispered barely audible before she stood and ran to the back bedroom.

The girls started comforting mom while I ran to check on Kate, when I opened the door she was lying on the floor with a pill bottle in one hand and a blade in the other, her arms were bleeding and I didn't see her breathing. "Kate?!" I screamed "Kate, get up!" I ran over to her limp body and basically emptied my eyes of tears "please Kate, I need you, we need you."

"What the fu-" Cecily stopped and pursed her lips trying to hold back the tears.

"CALL AN AMBULANCE CECILY!" I screamed trying to wrap Kate's bleeding arms in a wet towel "it's gonna be okay Kate, stay with us."

At the hospital

"She wasn't even back there for a minuet, how the hell did she do it that fast?" Cecily put her head between her knees and continued crying "I always thought I would be the one to do this"

"Don't say that Cec, she'll pull through. "

"I just got off the phone with Taran," Aidy walked into the family waiting area with her phone in hand "she's can't stop crying, and she thinks it's her fault"

"Did you talk to her?"

"No, I tried but she is refusing to speak to anyone"

Our conversation was interrupted by the doctor holding a small slip of paper "Will you ladies mind coming with me?" We complied and followed him to a tiny room with Kate jammed in the center of it.

"Kate?" Cecily pushed Kate's hair back to reveal her forehead.

"She most likely isn't going to wake up until tomorrow." The doctor stood at the back of the room "you might want to come back in the morning"

Aidy made Cecily and I go home after a few hours of staying with Kate. When I got home Jack was sitting outside on the steps in front of the door. "Jack what are you doing?! It's almost one in the morning!"

"I heard about Kate, is she gonna be ok?"

"She'll be fine, she's in a temporary drug induced coma, she should be out of it tomorrow, but you still haven't answered me, why are you here?"

"I thought you might need a cuddle buddy" he half smiled and I attacked him with a heavy hug burying myself into his chest "hey, it's gonna be ok baby girl, don't worry"
