Vanessa's Baby

Squeak.

I put on the outfit Cecily gave me and walked out of the bathroom, Cec had on a light creme colored dress and some white heels, she threw on a necklace to tie the look together and smiled "Mike got me this" she spoke straightening the thin silver chain

"That's sweet" I said moving behind her looking in the mirror.

"Yeah, I love him so much. I really wish he could've come" her eyes darted to the floor.

"We'll be back before you know it"

"Yeah, you ready?"

"Ye-" I was interrupted by Kate screaming.

She ran into our room and squealed again. Not knowing what was happening I asked her what was wrong "there's a mouse in my room" she groaned.

"Ok and?"

"AND?! Do you know what kind to diseases those filthy animals can carry?!" She yelled at me while she jumped into the twin bed. 

"You realize when you have that baby, you won't be able to do that every time you see something scary, you'll freak him out" Cecily chimed in.

"Him? How do you know it's a him?" I said looking angrily at Cecily.

"It's just a hunch, chill out" she said imitating a stoner taking a a hit from her imaginary blunt. 

"Um, I don't mean to interrupt you guys but Stewart little just ran past the doorway" she squealed again. 

"I'll take care of it" I said mockingly

I grabbed a broom from the closet beside the wall of the kitchen. I saw the little white mouse run to the refrigerator, then to me. It just stood there with its head cocked to the side
"Hey little guy" I dropped the broom and put my hand out, he sniffed me and crawled into my hand

"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Kate screamed, still not moving from the bed

I rolled my eyes and opened the glass door. "Bye buddy" I said putting him down. He scurried away and I walked back to the room to give Kate the "all clear"

"We're good, he's gone"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Kate, I literally just watched him run away"

She scowled at me and slowly stepped off the bed. I shot her a very sarcastic smile and walked to the living room where Tina, Maya, Amy, and Cecily were "are we ready?"

"Yep, les go" Amy said making all sort of gang signs

"Amy, honey no" Tina grabbed her hands forcing her to stop
