Vanessa's Baby

Next day

I woke up to the smell of coffee and bacon, Cecily was beside me and was still asleep. I snuck out of the room being careful not to wake her up.

"Hey!" Mom yelled attacking me with a huge bear hug. 

"What the-" i was cut off my Maya telling at her not to be so loud, it was obvious she was hungover.

"Do you want some coffee?" She asked me pouring herself a cup

"Please" I sighed. I needed it after the night I had the night before (wow how many times am I gonna say night!?) I still felt sick from all of the stress.

"Hey" Kate walked over and grabbed a few strips of bacon.

"Hello?" I was starting to realize everyone was in an amazing mood for no particular reason. "What's going on?"

"I'm glad you asked, so you know how I told you I wanted a baby"

"YOU'RE PREGNANT!?"

"No but she talked to Taran about it and he agreed to it"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP" Maya yelled again

"So...you guys are gonna try?"

"Yeah!"

I stopped and freaked out, I was excited but holy shit, another baby?! Three pregnancies, my god.

"Only you and Kate know about it so you can't tell anyone"

I nodded quietly but I was screaming inside.

"When do you think you'll actually get pregnant"

"I honestly we don't know, but we're definitely gonna try"

"Ok we'll make sure I'm not in the house when that goes down, because...ew"

"Ok" she smiled and winked at me.

I didn't really know what to do for the rest of the day, the one day off we had was changed to three days off due to the commotion the night before.

About four hours later I went on a walk with Cecily hoping and praying she wouldn't freak out walking the trail along the area of our attack.

"I-I really love that we're friends" she stuttered "I don't really know what I'd do without you"

"Awe. Thanks Cec"

"I mean, you helped me through so much. I basically owe you my life"

"No"

"Yeah, I know you wouldn't do that for just anyone, I know exactly why you beat the shit out of him, you did it because you knew what he was doing to me and you took out your pain for me on him. I know because I did the exact same thing"

"What?"

"It was the day you were born, I got so mad at Vanessa for just handing you off like that, so that night I left the hospital and went to the nearest bar, a guy tried to get me to give him my number and I ended up breaking a bottle over his head."

"But I thought you didn't meet mom until your first show"

"Nope. Me, her, Taran, and Leslie all knew each other before you were born. I met Aidy two years later"

"Wow" I was so shocked. "So-" I was interrupted my phone ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey it's Kate, how soon can you guys be back?" She sounded calm.

"Um it depends, why"

"Well uh, Aidy keeps getting calls, it's a man telling her to tell you goodbye"

"What the-"

"Yeah he said you guys were in danger or something so get back to the cabins as soon as possible" she hung up.

"Cec we gotta get back" I said trying not to scare her.

"Why"

"Because I feel like I'm gonna be sick, let's go" I grabbed her arm and pulled her through the trail, I felt like I was being watched so I started moving a little faster.

"Liv, what's wrong"

"Nothing"

I slowed down so she wouldn't freak out. I finally got us to the cabins and started to relax a little more, Kate walked over to me and handed me a sonogram.

"Guess what"

"What" I said looking at the little black and white blobs.

"See that little blob, the one that looks like a very large chicken nugget?"

"Yeah?"

"That's your goddaughter"

I smiled the biggest smile I could manage. She pointed to Eva's little head and smiled.

"She's super small but growing"

"So we're in the clear?"

She nodded at me and gave me a huge hug.

"I'm excited"

"Me too"
