A Summer to Remeber

When we walked down to the lake and started to set up the umbrella mom brought along with her because she's whiter than a fucking vampire, I LAYED my towel out and started to rub my sunscreen down my arm "who are you, Taylor Swift?" Aidy laughed

"What?"

"Look at your towel"

I looked down at my towel and nervously smiled "what's wrong with it"

"Liv, it's a fucking American flag"

"So?" I shrugged

"You are so clueless" she rolled her eyes and kicked off her flip flops and ran to the lake "holy shit that's cold"

"Ya coming?" Cecily looked back at me and mom.

"I'll be down in a second"

"Yeah me too"

Everyone was playing in the water and having fun, even past members of the cast. We started seeing who could do the best dives and flips or overall tricks off of the pier, dad did two front flips before his back hit the water. We all heard the huge smack when he hit.

"Ouch" Kate cringed with her big floppy hat on.

Mom swam over to dad and helped him with his stinging back. Beck was next, he just jumped and did a stupid pose. When he came back up he flipped the water out of his hair and threw his arms in the air.

We all cut up on the shore until the sun started to set, and even after midnight we were still sitting around a campfire in our damp swimwear telling stupid little stories about our pasts, when the circle got around to me I felt a little awkward considering I was raised by different people other than my parents, they basically raised me and made me into who I was. "I'll pass, Tina how about you go"

"What's wrong Liv?" Kate's eyes narrowed.

"Nothing" I shrugged looking to the side.

"Hey kid, wanna come over here and sit with me?" Mom said patting the spot on the towel next to her.

"Sure."

I sat down between her and Aidy, she leaned over and nudged me with her elbow. "Hey guess what"

"What, are you pregnant?" I sarcastically responded.

"No but it's four days until I can effectively take a test." She puckered her lips and raised her eyebrows.

"What would you do if I got pregnant?"

"Well, I would tell you to do what felt right."

"And if I kept it?"

"We would help you" she said lovingly "wait you aren't pregnant are you?!"

I smiled "no!"

"Good" she kissed my forehead and wrapped her arm around my neck. "Oh shit their gone"

We were so caught up in our own little conversation that we didn't notice the others had left us.

The next morning

I woke up and realized we got to compete, finally after all of that commotion, we could finally kick their asses once and for all.

I ran to put our team colors on and put my hair back into a messy bun because I'm lazy as hell. I pulled on my red tee and slipped my black high top sneakers on with some white knee high socks with two black lines. When I walked into the living room, Kate, Aidy, Cecily, and Mom were all wearing the same colors like we were supposed to. "Wait why are you three still in our cabin?"

"Because Seth, Tina, and Amy all agreed to swap with us" Aidy said applying a glittery lip gloss.

"What with the gloss?" Kate smiled a crooked smile.

"I'm a grown woman, if I want to wear sparkly lip gloss in the woods I can."

"Okay, sorry for asking"
