"CALL IN THE FUCKING DOCTOR!" Kate screamed hysterically at Kris.

Not even three seconds later he came barreling into the room with about four nurses and a cart full of medical equipment "you all need to leave, now!"

We were outside of her room rocking back and fourth waiting for the doctor to come back out. When he came back out, I wished he hadn't "I'm so sorry folks, we lost her"

That's when I woke up, I shot straight up from my hospital bed and yelled through the silent room "EVA!"

"Liv, babe are you okay?" Jack jumped up out of the chair and ran to my side

"Jack, where is Eva?!"

"She's down the hall, why?"

"I need to see her"

"Honey it's almost two, she's asleep"

"I don't care, I need to know she's alright"

"What's wrong Liv?"

"Just take me to her room Jack. Please" tears were streaming down my face and neck partially because of the shock and partially because of the mess I was on. Jack took me to see Eva so I would calm down. She was lying there peacefully with one gash across her head and bruises all over her soft skin "I'm so sorry Eva" I stroked her soft thin blond curly hair "I promise you, I will make this up to you"

One week later

"I'm not going on looking like a hot air balloon, I'm due in one week. It's not like I can do much anyway."

"It's fine Ness, we'll just do it without you" Kate exhaled and pouted.

"Stop it, you know know I hate it when you do that"

"What is happening in here ladies" Chris (Kelly) walked in and handed Aidy her usual lunch order.

"Thanks Chris"

"No prob bob, hey Vanessa do you have a ball in your shirt or something?"

"I'm not in the mood for your bullshit today dude. I have a raging headache"

"Well good luck with the delivery," he said sitting at his desk "I hope it's everything and more" he finally noticed me sitting on the couch with my laptop tucked between my stomach and my legs propped at an angle convenient enough for me to type "woah Liv, why are you here? Shouldn't you be at home?"

"She should, but" she turned to look at me "she's just like me"

"Hey! I can speak for myself" I jokingly snapped.

"Ok well, I'm gonna work before I get fired."

"Good idea dipstick" mom spun back around in her chair and started typing again.

Two days later (at Aidy's apartment)

"Guys, I can't see how Kate's pregnancy just drug out for what seems like forever, but it seems like mine flew by"

"It goes quicker when you're the pregnant one." Kate widened her eyes sarcastically while taking a sip of her wine.

"All I know is I'm never having kids" Aidy came in with a cheese platter.

"Really Aidy? This isn't a book club" Cecily turned off her phone and set it to the side.

"I can't have cheese now, for some reason it makes me super gassy"

"I had that too, it'll pass once the baby does."

"Nice one" Cecily and Kate shared a high five and continued to drink.

"How's Eva?" I blurted out of concern for the toddler.

"She's fine Liv, her cuts are almost gone. She's gonna be okay" Kate reassured me

"Yeah but where is she?"

"With my mom, chill out"

"Guys?" Mom interrupted

"Wha- OH MY GOD" she stood up to reveal a huge wet spot on the couch "WHAT DO WE DO?!"

"It's fine, Liv you drive, Kate, Aidy you guys stay in the back with me, Cec, grab my bag and meet us in the car"

"HOW ARE YOU SO CALM?!" Cecily screamed.

"I've done this before and guess what, I'm not in pain at all"

On the way

"Ok Liv, stop at the house I need to grab the hospital bag"

"No, I'll have dad bring it when he comes"

"Have you called him?! FUCK ITS STARTING TO HURT" she clenched her fist and squeezed her eyes shut tightly.

"Okay Vanessa, remember that breathing bullshit they told you?"

"Yeah, and?"

"Throw that out the window, anytime you're in pain, scream as loud as possible, it helps."

Dad beat us to the hospital and helped mom into the building while I grabbed everything we needed from the car. I made it to moms room just as she was changing from her clothes to the hospital gown. "You realize we've been together at a hospital together 1,000,000 times right?"

"Shut up Aidy"
