Vanessa's Baby

On the run

                A month later

Jack had picked me up in his bright blue jeep so we could look look at apartments and when we were done we could head to moms late baby shower. The first place we looked at was nice, it was similar to Cecily's apartment with just a little bit more space, it had an extra bedroom and a pretty big living and dining area, the kitchen was good enough for one person but of course there were problems too, the walls in one of the bedrooms had the wallpaper completely torn off and the bathroom had a huge hole in the wall.

The next one we looked at was in my opinion the best one, two bedrooms, one bathroom, big kitchen, big living area as well as a fairly large dining room but the apartment just "wasn't his style'.

"We have an hour and a half before we have to go babe"

"Alright, this ones gonna be the one, I can feel it!"

Well...it was not "the one" it was the farthest thing from it. There was no space, a tiny kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, AND dining room. It was kinda like the apartments you see in movies where there's no space, it's covered in mold and bugs...its just bad. "Yeah, no fuck this" I rolled my eyes and started out the door.

"Agreed" 

"We can always look again tomorrow"

We had about half an hour so we went to the nearest Target to pick a present up and swing through a place for some lunch, I ended up getting the future baby some small outfits and a stuffed giraffe, I knew I was being followed the whole time by cameras but I knew if I needed it Jack had my back.

We arrived to the baby shower and sat around the stage while mom opened baby gifts, I couldn't help but look back and fourth from Kate to Beck. He stood up with Eva still on his hip and just walked into the directions of the office, after we realized what was happening and snapped out of our dumbfounded state mom spoke up "what the-"

"I'll go look into it, he has my baby."

We shrugged it off and mom kept opening her presents. A few more minutes passed and they sent me to go check on her, I looked for Kate for awhile and finally found her sitting on the small brown couch in our office holding Eva and crying. "Kate! What's wrong!?"

"He's not coming back Liv..." She handed me a sheet of paper and held Eva closer.

I am so sorry but I cannot stay on the cast any longer, I have decided to leave Eva in the care of her mother and I need her to know I love her, I promise I'll speak to you guys and you will see me again...someday

"Kate? Do you need anyth-"

"Just go tell Vanessa I'm going home with Eva and I'll call her later, I'm so sorry"

"No it's fine, take all the time you need"

She left through the back so no one would question her, just as she left I walked back to tell mom the news and fell on my way...

        After the baby shower

Jack and I were cuddled on the couch together looking at baby names to suggest while dad was in the kitchen making dinner and mom was asleep on the sofa diagonal from us  "what about Jance?" Jack pointed to a name on the screen

"uh, no.  I like Ryder though, what's the list again?"

"Let's see, we have Ryker, Hudson, Hunter, Levi, Daran, aaaand Kolby."

              Next morning

I heard Leslie laughing her ass off downstairs with what sounded like Cecily saying something, when I actually went down I was in my pajamas and looked like a bum, I didn't know Jack was down there speaking to the girls otherwise I would've put longer pants on.

"Why aren't you dressed babe?"

"Why would I be...?"

"You said we would go apartment hunting again today."

"Shit sorry I forgot, give me ten minutes"
