"We're here Niall," Niall's mum tapped his shoulder, waking the boy up from his nap. They were in the car, and right now they were in front of a building that looked more like a prison. Niall was auditioning for the x Factor. They all got out the car, waited in line so Niall could get his number. They all hugged him, wished him good luck and even sang an old song together, just to settle his nerves.
"Just do your best," Niall's brother said, hugging him. "And when you're all famous, don't forget your big brother, ay?" Niall laughed, no way that'd happen.
"Next!" A loud voice called out, snapping Niall out of his nervous state. Niall smiled at the man handing out the numbers, but he didn't smile back, making Niall feel uneasy. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
"Here kid" He mumbled, handing Niall his audition number. Niall looked down at it, it read '232677'
Looking back at his family, Niall smiled and waved. He couldn't believe he was actually doing this. He's so close but so far, wondering if he'd get to boot camp. Maybe he'd make some new friends on the way. Niall loved to make new friends.
The two men called Niall's name, telling him he was up in a minute. He said his last goodbyes and walked on stage...
"Of course, you're in" Katy said, her hands in the air. Niall couldn't believe it. He had gotteb through! Saying thank you and running off to his family, Niall jumped in their arms and grinned like the Cheshire cat. His mum was crying, Greg was over the moon. The rest were cheering me. He had finally done it. He had gotten through the first part.

"Based on talent, absolutely incredible. One massive, fat, almighty yes!" Simon smiled at Liam. His heart was beating faster and vision blurry. The man who sent Him home in 2008 was now saying yes and putting Liam through to boot camp.
Walking back off the stage, Liam's heart was still beating so fast he was surprised no one heard it, but his stomach growled when the smell of food hit his nose. After celebrating with his family, Liam sighed when his stomach growled again.
"Mum, I'm hungry." Liam moaned, rubbing his stomach to add to the sympathy. Rolling her eyes, his mum pushed him into a queue of people lining up for food. Liam fell behind a boy with obviously dyed blond hair.
"Oh sorry!" Liam mumbled as he tripped into him. Turning round, his bright blue eyes connected with Liam's.
"'Tis fine mate," The boy smiled up at him, his accent thick.
"Yeah, haha..." Liam laughed awkwardly, patting down his hair.
"You hungry too...?" He asked, hinting for Liam to say his name.
"Liam," He stuttered, how he managed to get it right was past him.
"Cool, my names Niall." Niall smiled. Liam couldn't help but grin. He had crooked teeth, brown roots coming through his blonde fluffy hair and his bright blue eyes just lit up the room. Liam wasn't gay, but he wasn't straight, and he especially wasn't straight when he thought about Niall.

"Cool, my names Niall." Niall tried playing it cool but he new it was obvious that he was trying too hard but he didn't care. "So I don't really know anyone around here, would you mind if I stuck with you?"
"Sure! That sounds good." Liam smiled, grabbing a plate and finally filling it with food. He put on all the food available, and that impressed Niall.
"You like food as much as I do, we're gonna be good friends." Niall laughed, his eyes crinkling when he smiled. His plate was full of food too. Liam knew this new found friendship was going to blossom into something more, but really, only time could tell.
