Brads POV
I sit on the sofa and put my head in my hands. I can't believe I have messed up so soon after my beautiful girls were born. I've ruined everything. My mum comes down the stairs and sits next to me.

"Brad son you need to make this up to her. Show her you can be a grey dad and prove her and everyone else wrong. You are my son and I love you so much but you need to stop using drink as an escape especially when it comes to your girls." My mum says and I nod knowing I have done wrong. My mum kisses my head and leaves quietly. When I go upstairs I see Maddison passed out on the bed. She must be exhausted after doing all the work for the girls. I put a blanket over her kiss her head and go and check on the twins. They are sleeping peacefully in their cots. I kiss their heads and walk downstairs.

I grab all the boxes and start unpacking I tidy up the living room and unpack Maddison's hospital bag and put a load of washing on. All the boxes are unpacked and the house it looking great. I sort everything out in the kitchen and start to prepare dinner for me and Maddison. I'm making chicken and chips. Formal I know but I'm a shit cook. The next thing I hear a loud pitch scream from upstairs I run and see Ruby crying. I pick her up and pat her bum while rocking her. "Shhhh daddy's here" I coo her. As I turn around I see Maddison sat up on the bed smiling.

"You suit it" she says

"Suit what?" I ask

"Being a dad." She smiles.

"Listen Maddison" I say sitting on the bed still holding Ruby "I love you and I'm so sorry I acted the way I did, I want to prove to you and everyone that I am capable to be a dad and a good one too. I have unpacked everything put a load of washing on and I even started dinner"

"You started dinner?" She questions laughing

"Yeah but you'll need to finish it as I don't have a fucking clue what I'm doing" I say bursting out with laughter and she does too she leans forward kisses my lips.

"Ouch" she says holding her stomach.

"You okay?" I ask

"Yeah I'm fine" she smiles and we see Ruby's mouth going as Maddison is leaning over. "Someone's hungry" Maddison laughs. "I've started expressing my milk so I can get help. If I get you two bottles will you feed them and I'll finish dinner" Maddison says

"Of course." With that Maddison leaves and returns with two bottle we bought a cool pillow thing for them both to rest on while we feed which has made things lots easier. When they are done they both fell asleep so I put them back in their cots. I went down stairs and seen Maddison plating up the dinner.

"Great timing" she smiled "are the girls okay?" She asks

"Perfect" I reply hugging her from behind and resting my chin on her shoulder. "I love you Maddison and I'm sorry" i say kissing her neck.

"I love you too. Let's not mention it again." She says turning her head and kissing me.
