Brads POV
The next morning I wake up the soft cry of Ruby, I rub my eyes are realise I feel asleep on the couch. I walk upstairs and see Maddison feeding her a bottle.

"Morning babe." I say to her

"Morning, it's only 6am she'll go back to sleep and we can cuddle" Maddison says smiling.

"Sounds good babe." Finally Ruby is done her bottle I change her and put her down. I climb into bed with Maddison and she cuddles into my chest. Maddison falls asleep on my chest and things fly around my head. I sit up and Maddison's moves and wakes up.

"Brad? You okay?" She asks.

"Doctor Rycard called and we need to talk about the funeral for Emily" I say and Maddison just looks at me.

"Brad.." I cut her off

"Listen Maddison I know you're not ready but we need to have a send off for our little girl" tears fill up in her eyes and she nods and puts her head back on my chest.

"I know we do and we'll do it good for her to." The next thing Maddison jumps up and goes online. She orders and personalised coffin.

She books a church and before i knew it the funeral was ready to go this Thursday which was just two days away. I text around and tell all our close friends and family.

-the day of the funeral-
even though Ruby is so young we had to take her and give her sister the send off she deserves. It was a really hard day. We got to the bit where the coffin was getting lowered into the ground my mum was holding Ruby and Maddison was crying and my dad was comforting her. I looked across the large crowed that had formed and someone caught my eye.

Katie and Abby.

I ignore them until the end of the ceremony. When it's over everyone makes their way to the golf club for tea and sandwiches. I stay behind to talk to Katie.

"what the hell are you doing here?" I ask looking down at Abby. She's beautiful I can't believe I can't tell her I'm her dad.

"It's Abby's sister" Katie whispers

"We had an agreement Katie." I say to her and she looks at Abby.

"But please dad" Abby says. I look confused she called me dad.

"Yeah my boyfriend left me so I told her the truth. She wants to be part of your life." Katie says and I put my head in my hands.

"Is this really the day Katie" I ask her. I turn around and see Maddison staring at us and her eyes fill up even more my mum and dad whisk her off and into the car before I can speak to her. "Shit" I breath.
