Maddison's POV
OMG OMG OMG!

Brad asked me to marry him! Ahh!

I go and feed and change Ruby and put her to bed and go downstairs to see Brad who is laying on the couch watching TV. I go and snuggle up next to him and he kisses my head.

"Hey baby"'he says and I look at him and smile.

"Do you know you have made me the happiest girl in the world?" I say and he laughs.

"Maddison?" Brad questions.

"Yes fiancé?" I say and we both laugh.

"Traditionally you are meant to ask the girls father for permission to marry her." I shift uncomfortably when Brad mentions father "obviously you have Patrick but you have never told me about your real dad" he says. I stare at him and tears form in my eyes.

"Not much to say really." I say getting up and going to the toilet.

"Maddison wait what's wrong?" Brad says standing up but I move quickly and lock the toilet door. I dry my eyes with some toilet roll. I know they say there should be no secrets in a relationship but this is a thing I think Brad just doesn't need to know. Once I have dried my eyes I go out of the toilet and Brad is stood outside.

"Babe, speak to me." He says kissing me.

"Brad honestly there is no need all you need to know is he was not a nice guy and I'm better without him in my life." I say looking down struggling to hold back the tears. He puts his fingers under my chin and lifts my head up.

"What did he do that was so bad you don't want him in your life?" He asks and tears start to flow out my eyes.

"Brad honestly-"

"No just tell me Maddison"

"Brad will you just bloody leave it for god sake you just go on and on and I'm sick of it" I shout and walk away from him we are both back in the living room and brad still won't let it go.

"Maddison I'm your fiancé now you should feel like you can tell me anything, please speak to me it is clearly upsetting you" Brad says.

"MY DAD ABUSED ME BRAD! Okay are you happy now my dad abused me" I say bursting into tears. Brad stood there shocked looking at me clearly not knowing what to say. "Exactly there is nothing you can say to make this better." I say walking upstairs crying.

"Maddison I'm so sorry-" Brad says and I keep walking.

"Goodnight." I say bluntly. This was meant to be one of the best nights of my life and him being brought up just ruined it. I suppose it isn't actually brads fault he didn't know but I'm just not ready to speak to him just now purely because I'm quite embarrassed.
